Pierce Brosnan

TMZ:

TMZ has learned the L.A. County Sheriff's Department is investigating Pierce Brosnan for allegedly battering a man in Malibu.

The incident allegedly occurred outside Casa Escobar last Friday in a Malibu mall about 6:15 PM. We're told Brosnan allegedly committed a battery on Robert Rosen, a photographer.

According to Rosen, Pierce was there with his kids, when Rosen began snapping photos (see below). Rosen says Pierce then said, "Why don't you get a real f**king job." Rosen says he then started complimenting Pierce on his Bond roles.

Good for him. Paparazzi are just scum masking as journalists. The fact that they are satisfying a need of loser Americans for celebrity photos doesn't change what they are. And taking pictures of his children, presumably to be sold and published, places them at risk of kidnapping, assault, etc. The guy had it coming.

Pop a paparazzi!

These photographers need to be controlled by a code of ethics and licensing. There are proper venues for taking photos. The harassment of people, however motivated, should be stopped. It just takes some cooperation to get it under control. As it is, any illegal immigrant who can afford a digital camera can run around and harass someone- not a good situation.

Had to get that illegal immigrant quip in there, didn't ya?

Germans blamed Jews for all their country's ills.

Reich-wingers like you blame "illegals."

Hey Brosnans fair game, but taking pictures of his kids is way over the line. Paparazzi are scum plain and simple, we can justify it by saying "hey there famous, its the price they pay" but it doesnt change the fact that its because of our mindnumbingly idiotic fascination with famous people thats currently driving the scummy paparazzi into hounding people down day and night to take their picture.

Hey Pierce, is is assault if you piss on these low lifes. All the respect in the world for photographers that produce beautiful and telling stories from capturing moments in the real tragedy's in life, but the bottom feeding scum who make a living snapping shots for tabloid rags like Murdoch's SUN deserve nothing but boos and jeers. Pierce is an Actor, the celebrity side has evolved into an obsession with potato chip, biggie fry eating loser AmeriKuns who choose to live other peoples lives instead of exploring their own. Nobody is asking to be harassed in public places and everybody's right to persue life and liberty should be protected from prying eyes.

I don't feel one bit of sympathy for Pierce Brosnan. If he doesn't want his kids photographed, keep them out of sight. Part of the job of being famous is getting your picture taken. The photographer was just doing his job, which wouldn't exist except for vain public figures and the people without lives who actually look at their picutres.

So if you have a job that puts you in the public eye, you have to keep your kids in a box? What a dumb-ass statement. Brosnan is a dad. If some slime-ball was shooting snaps of my kids I'd be pissed too. Screw the photographer and screw people who buy the rags that publish these photos.

Acting is a job. It doesn't entitle the rest of the world to photos of your kids.

What's a paparazzi doing on HP?--didn't know you guys could read or write. Listen up-- the guy signed up to act not give his and his family's life over to the public. Your reasoning sucks. Most real actors would love to leave it all up there on the screen and not be fawned over or recognized by a bunch of idiots who couldn't behave decently if they were paid to do so.

Now you're telling a human being, he shouldn't go out in public with his family if he has chosen acting as a career? --you sound like one of those idiot telemarketers who tries to convince you that he has a right to call your house because you have a phone.

I doubt Brosnan is interested in your sympathy-he probably wonders your ilk chose stalking rather than a real job?

What business does a photographer have photographing an actor's kids?
The kids of actors should be off limits, like the kids of politicians should be off limits. Its just commen decency.

The same should apply to the Bush twins. I remember seeing a lot of tasteless stories and somments about them here.

The Bush Twins don't count as, being spawn of the devil, they're not human.

I think the right idea for movie stars or anyone else who's sick of having their picture
taken is pretty simple: Buy a Big Camera,
the one with the lens that can count nose hairs.
Everytime the shutterbugs show up, take pictures
of THEM. I think, in time, the practice would
stop...?

Brosnan hasn't been photographed in three years and he chooses to hit a photographer in front of his kids?

Ass. Jack Ass.

Good for Brosnan. I would give any parasite who got too close to my kids a good ass-kicking too.
10:34 AM on 10/31/2007
Yes, I'd have given the cameraman a rectal exam with his camera.

The paparazzi kicked Pierce Brosnan in the stomach?

It's one thing to get attacked by a celebrity and block their attack, but it's another thing to counter-attack.

This guy crossed the line. He probably needed to get his ass kicked by a celebrity.

Brosnan's an asshole. He has a history of striking photographers. The man's a celebrity. If he doesn't like photographer's snapping his pic and even him with his family, then he needs to get another job. He should be prosecuted for assault.
07:47 PM on 10/30/2007
An actor asking a paparazzi why he doesn't get a "real" job.

That's rich.

That photographer undoubtedly works 1000X harder for a buck than Brosnan will ever have to after A) Being born beautiful, and B) landing his first role.
