I Like ItI Don’t Like It

At last night's debate between Democratic presidential candidates in Philadelphia, NBC's Tim Russert asked a flustered Cleveland Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich whether he'd seen a UFO.

Here's a transcript and YouTube video of their exchange:

RUSSERT: Shirley MacLaine writes in her new book that you sighted a UFO over her home in Washington state, that you found the encounter extremely moving, that it was a triangular craft, silent and hovering, that you felt a connection to your heart and heard directions in your mind. Now, did you see a UFO?

KUCINICH: Uh, I did. And the rest of the account. It was an unidentified flying object, OK? It's like, it's unidentified. I saw something. Now, to answer your question. I'm moving my, and I'm also going to move my campaign office to Roswell, New Mexico, and another one in Exeter, New Hampshire, OK? And also, you have to keep in mind that Jimmy Carter saw a UFO, and also that more people in this country have seen UFOs than I think approve of George Bush's presidency.

For those who find some validity in the Drake equation (I don't), there is more likelihood of extra-terrestrial life than in the existence of a sky-god. The basic reason is that there is clear evidence of life (albeit only on one planet), whereas there is no such evidence of the existence of a single sky-god anywhere.

If you want to maintain the status quo,if you want the U.S. to stay in Iraq 'till what was the date 2013?and do you believe them?

If you want war as peace.

Then by all means be fooled,be duped again.

Play with smoke and mirrors,while the ship sinks.

That this is top of the page,instead of this mans efforts on Impeachment and vastly more important issues,speaks volumes about this countries collective dementia.

For all the those that want to keep the status quo,go ahead yuk as you keep mucking it up.

Somehow it is less ridiculous to believe in the existence of some sky-god, and even talk to it, than saying that you saw a flying object that you couldn't identify.

But Romney goes a step further, he thinks he and his wife have reservations to fly to a planet after they both die.

Which spaceline, Romney?

Oh! And Jesus told Bush that there would be no American casualties in Iraq.

Not only that Bush lied, Jesus also lied.

sure,make fun of Kucinich,Huffpo.You got too much invested in the status quo to ever support him.Obama wont mess with the status quo now will he,huffpo?just more of the same...lol..and people think Kucinich is nuts....Ill tell you whats nuts.
THE status quo is NUTS.Bush and Cheny getting away with war crimes is nuts.Privatized health care in a world where most countries see the idiocy of health care for profit where elites pay their way to the front of the line.
But I digress...Americans HATE anything MORAL...HATE anything that isnt elite white male first....so...it is ironic they choose Obama or Hillary isnt it?Ironic they just happen to represent the status quo,while Kucinich doesnt.I hope America gets what it deserves when it insists on more of the same.MORE OF THE SAME.

Ezekiel Saw The Wheel

Ezekiel saw the wheel;
Way up in the middle of the air.
Now Ezekiel saw the wheel in a wheel;
Way in the middle of the air.

Chorus
And the big wheel run by Faith, good Lordy;
And the little wheel run by the Grace of God;
In the wheel in the wheel in the wheel good Lord;
Way in the middle of the air.

Who's that yonder dressed in white?
Way in the middle of the air.
It must be the children of the Israelites:
Way in the middle of the air.

Chorus
And the big wheel run by Faith, good Lordy;
And the little wheel run by the Grace of God;
In the wheel in the wheel in the wheel good Lord;
Way in the middle of the air.

Who's that yonder dressed in red?
Way in the middle of the air.
It must be the children that Moses led:
Way in the middle of the air.

Ezekiel saw the wheel;
Way up in the middle of the air.
Now Ezekiel saw the wheel in a wheel;
Way in the middle of the air.

Who's that yonder dressed in black?
Way in the middle of the air.
It must be the children runnin' back:
Way in the middle of the air.

Chorus
And the big wheel run by Faith, good Lordy;
And the little wheel run by the Grace of God;
In the wheel in the wheel in the wheel good Lord;
Way in the middle of the air,
Way in the middle of the air.

Dennis Kucninch's H.R. 1234 is a plan to end the war in Iraq.

Why didn't Russert let him talk about that?

POTUS: I want one of the new spaceplanes to be seen over Shirley MacClaine's house while she's having a party tomorrow, can you do that?

area 51 commander: yes, sir, Mr. President, we are operational and at your disposal.

POTUS: I knew I could count on you boys, this is going to be a hoot. Y'all aren't having any more trouble out of those little gray fellas are you?

area 51 commander: they are still asking for an increase in their cattle mutilation quota, but I think we have them mollified about the abductions.

POTUS: good, good, just tell them, pretty soon I will send them a list of people they can take.

The Air Force and the CIA have spent the last 50 years taking what should have been a serious issue, the sighting of unidentified objects flying in US air space without authorization, and using a brilliant public relations campaign turned it into an almost permanent joke for stand up comics. At this point, no one has claimed to know what UFOs are let alone what they mean but our government's claim that UFOs don't exist is patently false and is an insult to the millions of Americans, from police, military personnel airline pilots, astronauts, and other perfectly sane people, who have witnessed one. Indeed the great majority of UFOs prove to be explainable but there has always been an unexplainable ten or twenty percent that have dozens of qualified witnesses, multiple radar contact, and that leave behind physical evidence; these unexplainables are what the government works hard to debunk. Why they would do this is anyone guess but considering how scummy and immoral our government has become, I'm inclined to think their actions are for no good purpose.

Why didn't Russert ask Romney about that notion that Romney can become a god with his own planet, over which he and his goddess will rule, and which they will populate, with her eternally pregnant?

What's really DISGUSTING is why such an idiotic question was asked . I am interested in things like plans for National Health Insurance , Tax Policies and FIRST and FOREMOST stopping the destruction of our Constitution by those espousing this DAMN Unitary Executive Theory . The very idea that a president can issue a signing statement which basically says I will DECIDE if I will follow this law is absurd . There is NO mention in the Constitution about Signing Statements . The President can VETO a law but the Congress can override that veto and then the president MUST obey his Constitutional Duty and abide by that law .

Goddamnit. I actually GIVE A SHIT about voting for this guy because he's the only Democratic candidate with any sense.. and here he is: exhibiting a complete lack of common sense.

I've been campaigning for this guy!

What a joke.

whatevs! if you have actually been campaigning for him and actually listened to him speak, there is no way an idiotic question from tim russert could completely change that. he answered that stupid question honestly, he didn't say what he thought people would want to hear, he told his truth. he saw something. that's it. me thinks you have an interesting take on common sense....

Oh, so I'm lying. UFO? Yeah, he saw something in the sky. Say "Yes, I saw something in the sky. I doubt it was a UFO unless we're talking in the very technical sense: I saw an object that I couldn't identify." The fact is, once again we're distracting from his really great substantive issues AND no one's going to take him seriously at all. Just because I like Kucinich doesn't mean I'm not pragmatic. Christ.

In a galaxy of 400 billion stars among a universe of billions of galaxies, it is insanity to think we are all alone. Dennis is simply stating the obvious. Unidentified Flying Objects abound and the government has been ineptly trying to cover them up since their existence.

I have seen a UFO-have no idea what it was but saw it for a long time from a distance-it was hovering over the highway I driving on-the light it emitted was the clearest, brightest light I have ever seen & it seemed to be directed towards me yet I could look right at it without it being blinding. I drove under it and even though I was apprehensive and would not slow down to take a good look, I did put the window down to see if I could hear anything-No sound whatsoever. As I drove away from it, I could no longer see the light. There are no explanations for what I saw but I know I saw it.

The interesting thing about this topic is that even though at first it seemed odd that Kucinich asked several times about the number (14%) that Russert represented he may be much smarter than many suspect. If one does a google search the numbers from mutliple opinion polls is around 30-40% (34% being the most common). This indeed is higher than the support for Bush. Unless Russert has a poll he can readily produce Kucinich has clearly won this battle and utterly discredited him.
(for the record I neither believe in 'classic' UFO's nor in what Tim Russert says)
