From President Bush's address today at the right-wing Heritage Foundation in Washington DC:

I ask Congress to send me a clean Veterans funding bill by Veterans Day, and to pass a clean Defense spending bill. Congress needs to put the needs of those who put on the uniform ahead of their desire to spend more money. When it comes to funding our troops, some in Washington should spend more time responding to the warnings of terrorists like Osama bin Laden, and the requests of our commanders on the ground, and less time responding to the demands of MoveOn.org bloggers and Code Pink protesters..

The crowd responded with a sustained standing ovation. Watch the video:

The "generals on the ground" get replaced if they don't mimic this imbecile's priorities.

In addition, the last time I checked, these people all worked for us. It seems interesting that they shouldn't be listening to us.

Finally, The Heritage Foundation is a "think tank" that seems to treat thinking as an optional enterprise. Why are they relevant in a world that isn't based on money and stupidity?

I'd like Bush to give a FOX-covered speech in a mixed venue. He couldn't do it from the cacophony of boos which would drown out all other sounds. I don't even know any former republicans that support this criminal. He isn't fit to unclog my drain (my apologies to everyone in the plumbing industry) much less run my country.

Nova16. . . a simple national strike would provide everyone with a few days off to spend with their kids, stall gasoline gouging, disrupt the corporate misers and send a message to both houses that you've had enough of their inaction. The problem is getting around the fear of reprisal from employers - but half the country works for next to nothing anyway so what is there to lose? It can't get any worse!

LogiCanada--our Constitution has within it the power to correct the misery that Bush and the criminals in Washington have created for the American people but this can only happen when the numbers in congress are in place to make the document work as planned to rid the nation of "high crimes and misdemeanors" which this administration has superceded. Except for the Civil War there has never been an insurrection that sought to undo the republic. Bush has enablers in and out of congress and control of the armed forces. What are you suggesting beyond just "kicking chairs"?

By the way, it was reported this morning that the former Saudi Ambassador said that Russia had information on the attackers before 9/11, but they were waiting for Washington to engage in serious dialog, an offer which Washington refused. It would appear that Bush is the last person to set priorities for anyone else, since he can't seem to do it for his own administration.

Don't these people have anything better to do than attack MoveOn.org? I do get a chuckle out of the term "right wing think tank", inasmuch as the last thing these people seem to know how to do is think!

Really, what is the difference between FEMA holding a "fake" news conference and the Shrub only speaking in front of Pro-Bush, pre-screened, bobble heads with the IQ of a cantaloupe? The availability of such ninnies must surely be waning!

I could humor myself by saying that it's all just an act...a sort of "mad man's bluff" to frighten the rest of the world into submission, but I see no evidence of meaningful cognitive ability on the part of the president indicating that this is all part of his well-thought-out, though megalomaniac, "master plan".

Instead, I am saddened to accept that George W Bush's increasingly threatening rants against fellow citizens reflects a deep-seated contempt which is further indicative of his dangerously unstable mind.

I sometimes question whether venting on these posts is the right thing to do. It seems to be the written equivalent of taking out our anger by kicking a chair. We write our little comment and say to ourselves, 'there, take that' and look for another story where we can enlighten everyone aboard with our broad knowledge and wisdom. Meanwhile no one takes any concrete action against a regime that continues, with impunity, to grind it's electorate into the ground like a cast away cigarette butt. What ever happened to FREE and Brave ... as in home of? C'mon America! Time to act soon or compose a different anthem!

At second 34 of the video, note the off-stage "wink" Chimpy throws some unseen ally in the War Of Terror. His hubris is chilling.

Bush has such a spoiled brat, inflated sense of entitlement. "How dare someone question me? God put me in the White House?"

Gee, George, it bothers you that someone tells the truth about you, that you lied the nation into war.

I must send moveon.org more money. If moveon.org can get under Bush's skin, can you imagine if our cowardly leadership on Capitol Hill actually used the powers they already have, how much that would get under his skin?

Unfortunately, because the Democratic leadership is cowardly and coopted by corporate campaign financeers, we'll never find out.

And spoiled brat George will have gotten away with lying the nation into war and will go to his grave believing he did God's will and history will justify him.

*shudder*

I don't know which makes me sicker -- Bush's self-delusion or Congress' cowardice. Actually, the latter, because they should know better.

Sending young men and women to die in a war of choice is evil. Killing is evil. Torture is evil. Ergo...Mr bu$h, you are evil

Another rousing speech from our blood soaked Fuhrer to his adoring hand picked supporters.

They probably had to resist the urge to chant "sig heil, sig heil"!
