Tuesday night's debate was not Hillary Clinton's finest moment of the campaign season, but there has been little or no immediate damage to her standing in the national polls. In fact, if anything, support for Clinton has ticked up a bit since she stumbled on an answer to questions about drivers licenses for illegal aliens.

Data from the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows that on the two nights following the debate (Wednesday and Thursday) Clinton held a 45% to 18% lead over Barack Obama. For Clinton, that's an improvement from Monday and Tuesday nights when her lead over Obama had been 40% to 24%.

I support Hillary. I think she's the best bet to beat the Republicans. If we don't win this election, God help us all!

Is anyone surprised? Liberals brought "How can we fool them today" to an artform. Hillary exemplifies the normal Liberal.....you can never tell them what you really think because higher taxes, hug-a-thug, open borders, We Surrender to any and all terrorists, socialized medicine is not what most Americans want, but it is what Liberals stand for all .

Clinton is a nightmare.

Tim Russert and his campaign against Democrats has become so nauseating that is no wonder that Hillary would get sympathy.

Real Clear Politics, which tracks ALL the major polls, shows that her Highness has dropped almost seven points since Tuesday, so clearly her obfuscations and half-truths are starting to catch up to her as the candidates start to call her on her own BS. FINALLY!

Either her supporters are naive or they want a war monger for President.

At one time I looked forward to voting for Barrack Obama for President. I have come to the conclusion that he has no intention of winning this race, by moving further and further to the right, with Clinton, while the country moves to the left, is very suspicious. It seems to me that he is acquiring some of the anti-Clinton vote (for next time) and he is protecting Hillary from John Edwards, if Obama were not conducting this faux campaign, John Edwards would clearly be the favorite at this time. John Edwards is the one candidate who can win. One on one he could beat Hillary, Obama, Richardson and the rest of the Democrats, more importantly he can also beat The Cross Dresser, The Mormon, Big Fraud, The Baptist Minister, The Military Guy, The Guy Who Hates Mexicans, or Crazy Alan Keyes. . One of these guys might actually beat Hillary ! ! . Not only is John Edwards less compromised than Clinton, he is moving right to left, not left to right. This should be encouraged in Democrats.

People have been writing in questioning the validity of the polls; I'm still not sure one way or another, but after Hillary's awful showing on Tuesday, a rise in the polls seems bizarre. What the Hell's going on?

If Hillary loses in Iowa, Ding Dong, the witch is dead.

Drop a house on her.

Ariana is ripping Hillary a new one on the Mark Green show on Air America right now.

Ariana said John Edwards did a better job of bashing Hillary than Obama did.

"Obama benefits even if Edwards wins in Iowa.
the Antt-Hillary coalition in Iowa could be like the Anti-Dean coalition. They need to disprove the Hillary inevitability myth."...Mark Green

I think this poll is a message to the other democratic candidates that attacking Hillary or highlighting her flaws would only MAKE HER STRONGER?

Ya right! No one knows when this poll was taken nor who was polled or which region. It is safe to say that people with cellphones and no landlines are not included in the polls, that alienates a lot of people.

I am sure I can get a poll result of Obama at 50% and Hillary 33%. How? Call places where Obama is strongest, include cell phones as well and shoot for younger people, 45 and below.

I don't know that there are rules for polling. If not, nothing prevent a polster from polling 60% known Clinton supporters and 40% new people. All I am saying is that the polls, especially national, are quite useless.

You can make the case that Clinton looked like she was waffling on the question about issuing driver's licenses to illegals in New York but look at the discussion after the debate.

It is all about how well Clinton did or did not do. The other candidates seem like afterthought and are only discussed only in relationship to their interaction with Clinton. So no one is making up any ground even after what is perceived by many to be a poor performance by Clinton.

Edwards said that Clinton flip-flopped during the question on driver's licenses but he never volunteered or was asked his opinion on the subject. I am not sure how he feels on the subject to this day other than the face that he thinks that Clinton waffled on her answer.

Criticizing another candidate for being indecisive is not the same as being decisive.
