John Edwards campaign advisor Kate Michelman--former NARAL president-- is attacking frontrunner Hillary Rodham Clinton--the first female with a real chance of being elected president-- for complaining that her male rivals are "piling on."

"It's trying to have it both ways; walk the fence, something Senator Clinton's good at. At one minute the strong woman ready to lead, the next, she's the woman under attack, disingenuously playing the victim card as a means of trying to avoid giving honest, direct answers to legitimate questions," Michelman said in a statement the campaign issued Saturday.

Does Kate M's opinion count since she is already an advisor to Edwards? Somewhat, but can it really be objective?

Let's see the lady went from First Lady to Senator and now wants to be president...I seriously doubt that just being a woman got her through the last 15 years, especially in politics!

Kate M. and the other whiners can go to hell.
It's past time to SUPPORT A WOMAN FOR PRESIDENT.

The MEN HAVE FAILED miserably.
We don't want them anymore, it's more of the same.

Bush-Cheney's MISSION was to create a
NANNY STATE for the rich, corporate welfare queens, disaster & war profiteers, family & pals into GREED.==

People are really fed up with being KEPT VULNERABLE by no health insurance, constant peddling of fear, dread, negativity by corrupt opportunists who deserve JAIL TIME.

As long as we are kept VULNERABLE, we're screwed by the ENTITLED RICH doing whatever they please.

HEALTH INSURANCE is vital! Otherwise you'll forever be under the thumb of the greedy rich.

Of course she dodges the substantive questions. Why, because she doesn't have the answers. Based on her resume, next time I need Wally the plumber I'll call his wife.

Oh, please. NARAL has had little credibility for at least 10 years for many pro-choice activists and supporting Lieberman was the kicker for many progressives. After years of membership, I ran a campaign for NARAL and haven't been a member since. It was all about Kate.

Iowa has never elected a woman to the Congress or the Senate. Same with a black person, any ethnic for that matter.
They have elected plenty of corn pone populists.
The bulk of Hillary's polling support is coming from younger women that do not vote. They will especially not turn out for a caucus if these figures continue. Her numbers are ephemeral.

"People in Iowa and New Hampshire who are looking you in the eye and not just watching you on television, they want to know what you're made of.

"They want to know if you really stand for something; if you are willing to take on this system that doesn't work; whether your ideas for health care, ending the war are real; and whether they can trust you.

"They actually want you to say the same thing, although it may be boring sometimes to them, as you say everywhere else in America.

"They want you to believe in what you say so that they know when the crunch comes, they can count on you to fight for what it is you actually believe in."

Kate,
You're stating the obvious, but ok. The real question is how do you and your candidate gain any traction without bothering about Hillary's there-if-you-want-to-see-it duplicity. Good luck with all that.

What Senator Clinton said at Wellsley was 100% in the money and does not qualify as "Playing the Victim". Yesterday she said that some of the other Democratic wannabes pile up on her because she is the front runner. Lynn Sweet, you are antiquated.
