I know, it's trivial and all that.
But I look forward to a nice relaxing sit-com in the evening, and the Daily Show, Colbert Report and Real Time with Bill Maher even more.
I detest "reality" shows and game shows, which is about all there will be on night-time television while this strike lasts. And yes, I read books- every day.
I'm just saying...sometime a half an hour of something that makes you laugh is a nice way to wind down.
The writers are absolutely right. Not like the entertainment companies will go out of business from paying writers fairly. They sure don't seem to mind paying actors outrageous amounts. The actors are in front of the cameras, but wouldn't be there if the writers weren't behind the cameras.

Who cares, it is only television. It is not like the truckers who move our food to the stores are going on strike. If they writers feel they are being screwed, so be it, let them work through their issues. It takes as long as it takes. Turn off your f@cking t.v. and pick up a book.

I'm all sympathetic toward the writers. I just don't understand why HuffPo is making such a big production of covering their strike. Other unions strike and don't get front page HuffPo coverage. Slow news week expected, I reckon. Martial Law over there, down to a year before *our* general elections, possible impeachment proceedings in the offing ... nah, nothing to see here. Carry on with the strike coverage. Go Writers!
