As Congress takes another look at the safety issues plaguing the nation's coal mines, a documentary team from PBS' Expose series is shining a spotlight this week on the reporting of the Charleston Gazette newspaper following the deadly Sago Mine tragedy in 2006.

While most reporters lose interest in stories like Sago after a few days, the Expose documentary shows how one newspaper stuck with the story long after the cable news satellite trucks left town. The Gazette's work informed a lot of the reporting that was done in the days following the Crandall Canyon collapse in Utah last August.
