Murdoch Scheming

Two separate news items today further suggest what everyone already knows: Rupert Murdoch is scheming big time when it comes to his purchase of Dow Jones. The New York Observer's Leon Neyfakh reports that publishing insiders are claiming Murdoch plans to do away with the Wall Street Journal's partnership with Crown Publishing in favor of an alliance with Harper Collins, which he already owns. And's Jeff Bercovici brings news that, again, Murdoch is keeping Dow Jones staffers on their heels by forcing the WSJ sales staff to give presentations to the publisher of Murdoch's other New York-based paper, the New York Post.
