This morning on "Today" Shirley MacLaine opened up about seeing a UFO "buzzing around the Capitol and the White House" when she was 18-years-old. She also discussed the impact of Dennis Kucinich publicly acknowledging a UFO sighting of his own. Unsurprisingly, she loved it. She seemed to be pretty calm and rational about the whole thing, unlike what most people think of UFO believers.

From NBC 11/7/07.

What do you think? Have you ever had a UFO sighting?

I lost lots I was posting. Is America so scared that they don't want to know the truth where their corrupt government is leading them?

Here is the "moonbat" answer that everyone is making such a big deal of:
Russert: Congressman Kucinich, I want to move to a different area, because this is a serious question. The godmother of your daughter, Shirley MacLaine, writes in her new book that you sighted a UFO over her home in Washington state...

(Laughter)

... that you found the encounter extremely moving, that it was a "triangular craft, silent and hovering," that you "felt a connection to your heart and heard directions in your mind."

Now, did you see a UFO?

Kucinich: I did. And the rest of the account -- I didn't -- it was an unidentified flying object, OK? It's, like, it's unidentified. I saw something. Now, to answer your question, I'm moving my -- it's -- and I'm also going to move my campaign office to Roswell, New Mexico, and other one in Exeter, New Hampshire, OK?

And also, you have to keep in mind that more -- that Jimmy Carter saw a UFO and also that more people in this country have seen UFOs than I think approve of George Bush's presidency.
----------------
I thought it was a fairly reasonable answer to a fairly unreasonable and ridiculous question.

I'm not a Kucinich supporter at all, but this is just ridiculous. It was a stupid question that had no business being asked in a presidential debate, and this is a stupid story that doesn't deserve any play on HuffPo.

Not once did I find a statement from Mr. Kucinich.
I take it that somebody as well known dosn't need to be questioned. That is the problem in White Man's Law.

some guy on DailyKos said that Kucinich or anybody can bring up the impeachment articles to the floor OVER AND OVER, because impeachment is a privileged resolution.

if Kucinich does *that*, I would be impressed.

impeachment today, tomorrow, and every day!

I have to raise a strong objection to the sliming, smearing and slandering of Dennis Kucinich. One of the big, bold lead stories is Kucinich and his UFO sighting. This is a nothing story worthy of Drudge or Fox news. The lead story should be Kucinich's introducing HR333 or the proposal for Cheney's impeachment. This is no accident, you are purposely trying to smear and marginalize Kucinich. Did Murdoch just take over Huffpost? Yesterday there was a virtual news blackout on the Huffpost concerning Kucinich and his reading of impeachment charges in Congress on Tuesday. Shame on the Huffpost. Why bother coming to this site any more if you are going to do the job of the right wingers and mock a courageous and gutsy liberal, Dennis Kucinich.

Somebody got an idiot named Shirley MaCean to say that she believes in UFO's That way, they hope to totally derail Kucinich's good work.

"Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), whose impeachment resolution against Vice President Dick Cheney was kept temporarily afloat on Tuesday -- largely with the help of House Republicans -- says the measure was no bluff.

During an appearance on CBS's Early Show, host Harry Smith told Kucinich that Republicans had "basically called your bluff" in wanting to debate the impeachment of Cheney on the House floor.

"They didn't call my bluff," Kucinich shot back. "I was fully prepared for debate -- with a three-inch thick binder annotating the violations of law and the violations of the Constitution committed by the vice president which would justify an impeachment.""

I hate the MSM. They all need to retire early and leave reporting to those who actually care about our nation.

I have NO problem with Dennis being so honest about an experience he had. He didn't squirm at all at the question. He's cool! Besides, being a New Age "flake" doesn't seem to have hurt him all that much. He was mayor of Cleveland when the Cuyahoga River caught fire, and he looks like a hobbit, but now he's a presidential contender with an uber-babe wife. The stuff works! I'm hoping he'll use the Law of Attraction to manifest his way into the White House, and I'd like to help him do it. I'll take a flake over a fake any day of the week!

Maybe more of our politicians should see a UFO so they'd make as much sense about what's going on with our government. I applaud him for his honesty and wish he was more popular with the media. I guess he'd probably win as he speaks for most Americans and it is sort of his willingness to say the king has no clothes that endears Americans to him. We're going to have to hold our noses and vote for yet another corportist come next November, but never a Republican.

Shame on Huffington Post, for posting this garbage about UFO's when Dennis Kucinich has risen up & tried to impeach the worst VP in the history of our country.

I give Dennis credit for going after the problem.

Huffington Post should be behind his resolution 100%.

What's most disturbing about all of this is how the Huffington Post is treating Dennis Kucinich.

First they have a story in the headlines about how he claims to have seen a UFO, and linking him to Shirley McClaine, and they have an article posted by Rosemary Palmer, who is running against Kucinich for his seat in the Democratic primary. If you haven't read it yet, it sounds she would play nice with Nancy Pelosi, and the other gutless Democrats who won't do what we elected them to do.

Yet I don't see any link, any article, to how Congressman Kucinich introduced his Articles of Impeachment for Vice President Cheney; and how despite incredible odds, got the movement to be sent to the Commitee Chair run by one John Conyers. This means, if Conyers is brave enough, there will be hearings and real investigations into the illegal actions of the Vice President.

Tell me HuffPo, where is the support for the Congressman? Kuckinich has contributed to the site before, nothing from Hilary.

I have always been a supporter of the site, but today I am truly embarrassed. Shame on you.
