This morning on "Today" Shirley MacLaine opened up about seeing a UFO "buzzing around the Capitol and the White House" when she was 18-years-old. She also discussed the impact of Dennis Kucinich publicly acknowledging a UFO sighting of his own. Unsurprisingly, she loved it. She seemed to be pretty calm and rational about the whole thing, unlike what most people think of UFO believers.

From NBC 11/7/07.

What do you think? Have you ever had a UFO sighting?

Its clear that Huffpo writers were instructed to find disparaging information of Kucinich and then make that into headlines instead of his attempt to uphold the constitution. Huffpo has lost its credibility for me. It has become a political tabloid and nothing more.

Like many posted before me, I enjoy the comments more than the content of the articles. Half the time the headlines are misleading. Then there are times when the headlines don't even link to the article that they are supposed to link.

I get that Arianna hates Hillary. So we get disparaging articles for Hillary. Arianna wants to support Obama. While I have nothing against Obama, I think Kucinich presents a much more well thought-out position while Obama is still pandering to the right with mostly rhetoric of the audacity of hope.

I for one will frequent other news and opinions sites more than fluffpo now.

... and go to www.smirkingchimp.com or www.alternet.org for more balanced news that, like all the other bought-and-paid-for corporate media, doesn't diminish a legitimate presidential candidate who's the only one doing the job he was elected to do: Defend the Constitution! Dennis Kucinich deserves better than he gets on HuffPost!

A quiz - Question: What does the media do to candidates who start asking inconvenient questions and making inconvenient promises?

Answer: Embarrass him over some trivial matter and keep on it relentlessly like a terrier with a rag doll until you've broken the candidate's back.

Jerry Brown 'dated' Linda Ronstadt 3 decades ago. Mike Dukakis had an unsuccessful photo op with an Abrams tank. Howard Dean did a war whoop but the cheering audiance around him wasn't picked up on the mic. Dennis Kucinich - he saw an unidentified object in the sky. Jimmy Carter - HE saw an unidentified object in the sky! to be fair I'll also mention Dan Quail who couldn't spell 'potato(e)'.

This isn't really a 'partisan thing', its just business. Issue papers and slogan-free discussions don't sell newspapers, *train wrecks* sell newspapers.

It really stinks that the Huffington Post has become another senseless gossip rag. Why post this attack on Kucinich's credibility and ignore a real story - that he pushed for the impeachment of vice president Dick Cheney in Congress yesterday, and plans to do the same with George Bush. That's the real news, not a UFO story.

I used to like Huff Post. Now I have to remove the links on my blog and website because you've become a political version of the National Enquirer masquerading as news.

I'm out of here.

DO SOMETHING!

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (202) 225-5871

Congressman Steny Hoyer (202) 225-4131

Speaker Nancy Pelosi
mail.house.gov@mail.house.gov

Congressman John Conyers (202) mail.house.govonyers@mail.house.gov

Conyers can DO SOMETHING with HR 333 because he chairs the committee where it now languishes.

Why is he crazy for seeing the Northrop B2 Bomber... before they released it officially? Because a flying black triangle is exactly that.

Both Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan (gasp - yes, the Republican messiah, no less!) have reported seeing UFO's. So what? So have thousands of other Americans. Neither of them said they saw little green men or that they even thought they were aliens from other planets. Just because you saw something unidentified doesn't make you a kook. But of course our pathetic MSM (pravda on steroids) doesn't want you to think that. They want to be the ones that get to say who is going to be elected, who is considered sane and not sane. But of course, considering who currently inhabits the White House, we know how well they do that.

There is no other reasonable assumption to make but that Dennis Kucinich was asked a question during the recent Democratic debate about his once seeing a UFO as a means of ridiculing and discrediting him, implying that he does, indeed, believe that the Earth is being visited by alien creatures from beyond our solar system, and that he is, thus, of an unsound mind, and incompetent to serve as president.

The Establishment Media believe themselves to be the rightful arbiters of who is constitutionally (as opposed to Constitutionally) eligible to run for president. They decide early on, therefore, who shall fill the predictive categories of win, place and show-- the front runners, challengers and dark horses, respectively-- for both of the parties that have duopolistically controlled our politics since the middle of the 19th Century.

It is rather shocking to consider the paucity of relevant experience that the favorites have-- barely fifteen years in the Senate between the three, with no Democratic- or Senate-leadership experience at all, and no important legislation whatsoever to their credit-- compared with the likes of Biden, Dodd, Kucinich, et al., who are treated as somehow being mere vanity candidates by the Establishment Media-- wherein vanity is an unknown phenomenon! (Why was college drop-out Brian Williams on the stage, other than the fact that he always looks like he came straight from a GQ photo shoot?)

I do not believe that Dennis Kucinich and his friend Shirley MacLaine saw a spaceship from another planet. Nor, however, do I think that he should be somehow disqualified as a presidential candidate for admitting to having seen a UFO-- and, although I support Joe Biden, I would vote for Rep. Kucinich before I ever would vote for Sen. Clinton, even if he were to assure me that, indeed, he does believe that the UFO he once saw was a spaceship from the planet Claire!

Sorry to see the decline of Huffington Post. Seems Ariana has become Nancy Pelosi's partyline netroots editor in chief....Wonder if this Democrat crossover is in reality still a closet Republican who will come out after the next election is over? No excuse for not havinf better coverage on the impeachment issue. As far as the website is concerned, what we have here is Drudgereport with better graphics.....Wonder about the timing for the Interview with Shirley and Dennis point of privilege introduction of the 333? Got say though, the placement of Bob Cesca left column treatment of the issue shows that sometimes that important critical content can still be found here...

I don't think receiving an endorsement from Shirley MacLaine is a good thing for Kucinich.

Dennis the Menace has more guts and spunk than the entiree Democratic delegation collecting paychecks in Washington doing absolutely nothing. At least he hasn't claimed that he can look into a Man's eyes and know his "soul". Dennis sees UFOs every day in DC-- Unscrupulous Fascist Oafs whose greed and selfserving policies are creating disaster for this country. I guess it ok to claim the gift of prophecy, communicate through prayer with a fantasy in an undisclosed location and know the unknown without criticism as so many of the right wing hypocrites advocate they do. If there are no UFOs how is this "rapture" supposed to work? Is one to be plucked or sucked to the ethereal regions beyond Earth? Inquiring minds want to know?

Take it easy.
Arianna wants the Democratics to win but having to cart around this steaming whack-job Mork From Ork does not help the party.
Get over it.

If Dennis Kucinich said he saw a UFO, then he saw one!
This man has never lied before, that I am aware of, why should he now? Especially about something so trivial.
The media has Hilary locked in and it will take nothing less than a movement to upset that applecart.
