I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Fox News' Bill O'Reilly has always been reliably quick to decry what he sees as a toxic American culture. Just this past Monday, O'Reilly took to the airwaves to attack the makers, and sellers, of rap music, saying, "Some very large American corporations are responsible for that corrosive entertainment." Naturally, what was lost on O'Reilly was that some of the people he was defaming were his very own paymasters.

And that's too bad, because if he spent a little time policing his own house, he'd discover that the Fox News Channel has a long history of peddling smut. The old playground taunt turns out to be a truism: He who smelt it, apparently dealt it.

And it's precisely that sort of double-dealing that rankles Robert Greenwald, the creative force behind Brave New Films. "Bill O'Reilly and others at Fox News cannot have it both ways," he says. "Either they're the morality police of our culture, or they're the smut-peddlers. They can't be both." Launched today, the latest production from Brave New Films, "Fox Attacks: Decency," drives Greenwald's point home. The short film captures Fox's hair-trigger tendency to air "after hours" style sexual content, "frequently in stories condemning precisely such images in the media as morally corrosive." Watch it:

This video dovetails with a new campaign undertaken by Brave New Films to urge cable subscribers to demand "a la carte" cable from the FCC.

Under an "a la carte" system, cable users could pick and choose the channels they wanted to pay for -- meaning they wouldn't be forced to waste their cash on soft porn from Fox News. (It's worth noting that current V-chip" technology is incapable of filtering out Fox's content because the news channel is not required to carry a viewer rating.) 'In 1998, after the launch of “The O’Reilly Factor,” but before superstardom, (O'Reilly) published a thriller called “Those Who Trespass,” which is his most ambitious and deeply felt piece of writing. “Those Who Trespass” is a revenge fantasy, and it displays extraordinarily violent impulses.'

An excerpt from Bill O'Reilly's 1998 suspense thriller, "Those Who Trespass":

"Ashley was now wearing only brief white panties. She had signaled her desire by removing her shirt and skirt, and by leaning back on the couch. She closed her eyes, concentrating on nothing but Shannon's tongue and lips. He gently teased her by licking the areas around her most sensitive erogenous zone. Then he slipped her panties down her legs and..."

I have heard drug addicted limpball once, in some elses car and I ask them to turn it off. I saw about ten seconds of Hannity, my gag reflex took over. Read about screaming savage. Once saw oh real e, and usually use my V chip technology on my flat screen to block out FOX news, networks, & sports. Yes. that means I miss some sports. It is worth it to me to show FOX I am not interested in any thing they have because of their support of hatred, bigotry and bias. For news go to Air America, rapidly over taking most major markets. Sports? If you have to watch a game on their network listen to the radio with their sound off. Entertainment? Really is there anything you really are missing? You want to send a message to them, use your V chip technology. The remote.

Fox News and O'Reilly are the two biggest jokes of all time.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

Fox is hypocritical?! Keep in mind, this is the same channel devoted to the "family values" crowd that keeps getting caught with underage boys, meth, hookers, undercover cops posing as male hookers in airport bathrooms...

When will we all learn to place more trust in a person's genuine family values when they aren't advertising them with a bumper sticker? Or a cable news show.
