Sen. David Vitter has tried move on after his embarrassing hooker scandal, but Hustler magazine won't let him.

In a magazine interview hitting the racks soon, a woman who worked in a New Orleans brothel has given a detailed, and at times explicit, interview about a 1999 affair with Vitter. The Louisiana Republican made a very public apology earlier this year about "sins" in his past, but he has not acknowledged any specific activities. Vitter's phone number also came up in the phone records of the "D.C. Madam" case.

Obviously Vitter likes to play 'dress-up'. He puts on a suit & tie, and pretends to be a champion of virtue and family values. Then he gets PAID for this charade. It appears that Vitter and the hooker are in the SAME line of work! The only difference is the hooker conducts her business with more honesty and integrity.

The GOP double-standard on Vitter and Larry Craig has been stunning.

Even though Larry Craig is a vile, hateful, repulsive human being, what he did wasn't as serious an offence - it certainly didn't merit all the legal attention it got.

But, Vitter's daliances with a prostitute are actually a crime under the law. Why is he not being prosecuted? Why aren't GOP elders pressing on him to step down?
