Bush Video Game

AFP :

US President George W. Bush had a shoot-out with the "bad guys" in Iraq on Thursday, playing a computer game with war veterans that simulates a firefight in Baghdad, the White House said.

Bush tried his hand at the game with two soldiers during a visit to a rehabilitation center in Texas that treats veterans wounded in Iraq.

What overpaid genius came up with the idea that badly wounded soldiers would like to play VIDEO GAMES that take them back to the situation that put them in the hospital to start with? And why would ANYBODY think Bush was capable of handling a video game joy stick when the fucknuts couldn't even stay upright on one of those Segue things?

This is the lede story?

Then there is "Dem Iraq Funding Bill Is Most Aggressive Pursued Thus Far" - a misleading headline by the blogger who thought it was appropriate to poke fun at Kucinich over the stupid UFO question.

FluffPo - going downhill fast.

I'll bet he wore his G.I. Joe outfit, and Uncle Dick came in cammys and with his shotgun, then there were all those soldiers without arms and legs. Bush lost and now wants a recount cause he got stuck with the soldiers with the most injuries!
Men who are boys and think WAR is played with toys, are twice as dangerous as the guy who was a dictator.

Not that we need any more reason to 'trow da' bum out, but here's something worth reading:

The Bush Administration Plans to Blame You for Iraq
By William Astore, Tomdispatch.com. Posted November 9, 2007.

"After holding so few high-level government and military officials accountable for failures in Iraq, Bush needs a scapegoat."

You know, there's something very telling about a story like that. And maybe it cuts to the core of what's so wrong with the neo-fascist (I won't call it "neo-con", and it's not really that "neo") movement.

To a fascist, not only is everything a "game," but everything is a "war." And the way that you wage war, of course, is with stupendous (and stupendously expensive) weapons. We've all seen the wet-dream ads in magazines where a couple of flyers at CLASSIFIED-thousand feet flying at Mach CLASSIFIED push a few buttons, "neutralize the target," and the Marines "mop-up" and everybody's home in time for dinner. Except, presumably, the "target."

To the soldiers at that medical center, it was -- and is, and evermore shall be -- no "game." And it accomplished absolutely nothing for the United States.

It only made certain ruthless men and women rich. Men and women we call... "President," "Senator," "Your Honor," and so-on.

Are we, too, tired of this "game?"

Bush..."has forced our country further into debt in just his first 5 years than all 42 administrations preceding him combined. The national debt has now surpassed $9 trillion (12 zeros)."

Ugh. What an ass.

A lovely stocking stuffer for Christmas. Teaching American kids that it sometimes takes hard work to turn swords into plowshares. Oh did I mention the hated C word ?

Afterwards, they had a rousing game of "Rome Burns."

Bush played the fiddler.

If he had any balls, Junior would invite a few of these brave, permanently scarred Americans to the Oval Office to join him in a search for WMD under his desk... y'know, like the last time, just for laughs.

What a moron. He so desperately wishes he'd had the guts to go to war ... to potential Giuliani voters ... twerps like Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Cambone, Feith, and, shitforbrains Giuliani ... cross dressing king of New York ... these are the measures they go for when they had a lack of courage to really, really, go to war when they had the chance. They start them, and thrive on the images of Americans killing someone else ... such as Iraqis.

I don't care if it's just a videogame, I don't want him on my team.
