Bush's grinning and smirking and laughing like that in front of brave people wounded in a war he started, is that proper? People who had the courage Bush didn't have when he was a younger man. Bush sickens and disgusts me.
Someone probably already said this, but it isn't really too nice to those soldiers that you have a graphic photo warning just to show a picture of themselves as they are.
I just can't get over his fakeness, his "what, me worry?" grin. It only makes it more evident the magnitude of the tragedy and the sadness our poor soldiers and Iraqi and Afghan civilians have gone, are going, and still will go through. It is a sad state of affairs, and I am a very angry American. It feels like a real nightmare, this "how did we get into this horrible mess?"; only it is all too real, and it is not ending in the morning.
It is not just Bush who has blood on his hands: every American taxpayer has contributed to the bombs and bullets, the pay for the troops, etc.
Contact your Representative and Conyers to support H Res 333, Kucinich's resolution to impeach our criminal Vice President.
I wonder if our brain dead flying monkey smirker, President Custer, would be having such fun at his sick photo-op if it was Jenna or Barbara glaring at him from Daddy's oil-war raveged face?
"I hope this "Operation Iraqi Freedom" t-shirt will make up for the fact that YOU HAVE NO FACE." Wipe that stupid smirk off your stupid face and realize how much blood is on your hands, you stupid moron Bush. I won't be happy until he and Cheney, Rummy, Rice and the whole lot of them are facing war crimes charges in the Hague.
You know, I stayed up till 3:00 a.m. last night to read ALL your posts. And then lay awake at least another hour fretting about something that I left unsaid...something VERY IMPORTANT...something I don't remember reading from anyone else. It needed to be said IMMEDIATELY, but my husband would have KILLED me if I went back into the kitchen and booted up our computer again.
What MUST be said, OVER & OVER AGAIN, is that the DOCTORS, NURSES, REHABILITATION PROFESSIONALS, THERAPISTS perform MIRACLES EVERY DAY!!! THEY are the UNSUNG HEROES!!!MANY of our PRECIOUS "wounded warriors", HEROES would have MOST CERTAINLY DIED, if it weren't for their HEALING HANDS and ENCOURAGING WORDS.
Stay safe, healthy and happy,
Love, Loretta
I think it's good he's doing this, but he should've been doing it every month for 4 yrs.
On second though, neither one of the injured vets looks all that happy to see Bush. Bush is the only one smiling in this particular photo op. What's the matter with Bush's PR people...couldn't they find anybody willing to smirk with Bush?
Next I want to see him pictured with the grieving parents of the dead children of Iraq. I want to him inspecting piles of mutilated bodies moments after a bombing. I want to see the gruesome details covered by the so-called "liberal media."
What I find crazy is that the Huffpost put a warning about graphic pictures on the story. Aren't these just people who have suffered a lot at the hands of the Bush administration and the country as a whole? War is graphic in the most violent way and a lot of people don't understand that until they see pictures like this. Warning people basically calls the soldiers 'freaks' instead of human beings and if you're too sensitive to look at our 'freaks' then how can you support any war let alone a war that was perpetrated on lies.
Get ready for the lies our President will put forth on Monday-Veteran's Day- about health care for our nation's brave veterans who continue to get screwed by this hypocritical president and cronies.
What a dance that will be. Tragically it will be a sick and venal dance macabre.
