you think Hillary has a pocket book on her campaign trail? lololol.......it was her campaign aids who should have seen to it that the waitress was taken care of. After all I am sure it was made out with the owner of the cafe that everything is free for visiting him. Although I would fire the person on my staff that is responsible for the visit on the spot and would let the public know it.

Please HuffPo stop your propaganda and give me tangible information on the salient positions of all candidates.

maybe the service was bad. what is it with americans that one must leave a tip even if service is bad.

went to aussie land and there no tips and service was better and they actually make pretty good wages with benefits.

the taxi driver actually ran to get me a cart for my luggage. and no tips. hey get an american driver to even take your bags out of trunk is a miracle.

tips are a horrible way to make a buck. waiter only sees dollars not customers. focus on the money not the service. typical greed is good capitalism.

This whole tip thing is lots of smoke no fire. I'm willing to bet Senator Clinton has a staff person whose job is to make sure everything gets paid for and everyone is tipped. But, no matter, it isn't a reason to vote for or against anyone.

I was listening to NPR the day this BS came out, and I couldn't believe I was hearing a solid hour about this. I turned stations, came back, still about the tip. I tuned in for the afternoon report, MORE tip BS. Watched TV news that night, STILL MORE TIP BS. I feel like I'm taking MORE crazy pills!

Wow, talk about insanity. First, I agree with several posters who say this doesn't pass the smell test. I think the meal was probably paid for by credit card and the tip was put on the card. I don't know, but I just cannot imagine Hillary carrying a lot of cash on the campaign trail, I also also cannot imagine why staff people wouldn't take care of this. I also cannot imagine Hillary intentionally stiffing a waitress, just knowing this kind of story would be the result. There are usually advance men to be sure things are set up right and I'm sure there's follow up.

Now, my sister has worked as a waitress and I am friends with many waitresses and I know the importance of a tip to someone usually working for a lot less than minimum wage. But, in the big picture, the press and blogs go crazy over this, but almost all of Bush's screw ups get a free pass. Drug and alcohol abuse, military desertion, gross dishonesty and incompetence in office and on and on. Hell, Bush thinks it's great people like this waitress have to work two or three jobs to make ends meet, and there is less outrage than Hillary not leaving a $31 tip (20% of $157 tab).

This is just a sample of what we as a nation will have to contend with when this women gets the nomination and if she actually wins the election. Constant attack of the the Clinton's, part two. The right wing dogs will never let up, nor will their loyal MSM propagandists.

Thank God the news people don't waste time on trivial things like war, and report the important things like how much of a tip someone leaves.

I also served Hillary once and received no tip as well. Would one of her staffers please comment where I can contact them for my tip which was also overlooked. I thank the Hillary staff in advance for contacting me by posting a reply to this comment.

The media's reporting of this is absurd and they should be reporting on how many pieces of toilet tissue she uses when wiping.
