McCain's Mom Goes After Romney

John McCain's 95-year-old mother, in a swipe at her son's rival Mitt Romney, said Friday that Mormons were to blame for the scandal that rocked the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.

During an appearance on MSNBC, Roberta McCain laid out why her son, John, deserves to win the Republican presidential nomination. But in evaluating McCain's primary rivals, she criticized Romney's Mormon faith and his time in Salt Lake City.

Well, Mr. McCain remarks at least weren't racist like Mom Bush's were during Katrina.

I must admit, age 95 and her look: is impressive.

So, Pat Robertson says that 9-11 was an act of God because we Americans "tolerate homosexuals", and now McCain's mother blames problems at the Olympics on the Mormons? What a pair of nuts!

McCain... once upon a time, as a fellow vet, I had nothing but admiration & respect for him. When Bush & his dirty tricksters spread those lies about his wife & adopted daughter, he should have walked up to Georgie AWOL and belted him one good one, right in the mouth and said something like "Mess with my family and you're a dead man". He would be President today. Instead, he sucked up to the pantload-i­n-a-flight­suit, and deserves nothing but contempt.

I don't always agree with them, but I love it when elderly people speak without censoring. My own father was shockingly direct in his final years. "I'm just telling 'em what I think," he used to say. "What are they gonna do, KILL me?"
