Bush Younger And Wiser

Editor & Publisher :

Sig Christenson, a founding member of Military Reporters and Editors who has worked five assignments in Iraq since the war began, reached back some 10 years for a Veteran's Day piece that noted President George Bush's early opposition to an Iraq invasion.

Christenson, who covers the military for the San Antonio (Tex.) Express-News, penned the piece for Sunday's paper that cited Bush's comments on Veteran's Day 1997 as governor of Texas. He pointed to Bush's defense of his father's decision during the Gulf War not to remove Saddam Hussein.

He just did then the same thing he did later. Said whatever he needed to say to get elected. I lost all faith in Texas when they replaced Ann Richards with George Bush. They got slicked over with their own oil. Maybe we should give them back to Mexico.

All of this is way out of proportion. 80,000 artifacts, or documents (more likely) are missing out of the Reagan Library. This thing is beginning to stink real bad. Some are wondering whether we are cursed for our obvious deep-seeded sins. (I didn't get here, natually) Remove the cancer, get this shit over with! When Sadamm was in power, gasoline was 1 dollar.somthing! Greed. Bottom line. Not my greed, maybe not yours. America knew that these were oil people coming in. What is so unfortunate and scary, so many of our greatest THINKERS, eyes and ears have passed away, our proud and brighter generations before. We as a nation are not going to be able to deal with environmental issues with havoc as a premise.

Back in 1997 GWB didnt realize the huge profits to be made by invading and trying to seize control of all Iraq's oil resources. As soon as he began counting all the dollars he and his corporate buddies would swindle from the US Taxpayer, he was on it like stink on shit.

It seem obvious to me at the time that the final straw was Carl Rove whispering to George Bush that No War Time President had ever lost an election. That he would avoid being tagged with 9/11 on his watch with a diversion war and then of course Cheney reminded him that we need to keep our 75 year old grip on middle east oil.

Unfortunatly Bush's Brain never got that degree in History because he dropped out of college twice.

Any History Graduate who thinks that it would be a Good Idea for Christians to Occupy any Part of Arabia would be an Idiot.

If the republican nut huggers hadn't spent a year and half impeaching Clinton and spent a little more time thinking about our national security, and actually listened to the warnings we would have had a chance to stop the 9/11 event.

ON this Veterans Day lets remember that they are very good at wars of aggression but actually haven't done anything to protect the USA in the last 50 years.

WE GET IT. Our President a total imbecile. This is a headline?! What there's one person left suceptible to thinking Bush is a disgrace, you really thought another article about him was going to turn them?

For f**k's sake, it's hard to decide which is more infuriating: a) The idea that Bush only has 440 days left and we'll all just "wait him out" or B) sitting immobile in your houses thinking it's your snarky comment on a blog that will topple the admin.

Put down the mouse! ORGANIZE! Strike! Impeach the assholes! NOW.

The cited quote came just before Junior's brain stem dissolved.

Alright you crazy trolls !

Was Bush right in 97 or now ?
(If Bush was wrong either time , then why do you hate the troops?)

Was Cheney right in 91 or now ?
(Oooh a veritable plethora of contradictions!)

Was Donald Rumsfeld correct about how long the war would last ? Or how many troops it would take ?
And why didn't he want the army he had?

How many terrorists does it take to deprive you of your rights guaranteed by our constitution?

With Bush himself predicting another terrorist attack how exactly, has abridging your constitutional rights made you safer?
How many of the 9-11 hijackers were Iraqi?

Where are the WMD's you all assured us Saddam had as pretext to the invasion? The yellow Cake from Niger?

If Jack Bauer was a bee, what kind of bee would he be?

If waterboarding isn't torture but an effective interrogation technique, can I do it to you to get straight answers?

Bush's Favorite Lie

...............Bush's Iraq lies are now entering a new political generation, seeping into Campaign 2008.

At the Republican debate on June 5, 2007, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney defended Bush"s invasion on the grounds that Hussein refused to let U.N. weapons inspectors in to search for WMD.

Not surprisingly, Romney"s false statement was no more challenged by the CNN debate moderators than Bush"s earlier versions had been. By constant repetition, Bush has transformed his lie into what passes for truth in modern American politics.
