Hillary Bully

The New Republic:

On June 1, The New York Times published a front-page article titled, ONE PLACE WHERE OBAMA GOES ELBOW TO ELBOW. The feature detailed Barack Obama's love for pickup basketball, his jersey-tugging style, even the time he hit a long game-winning shot after getting fouled.

The Obama camp clearly welcomed the humanizing glimpse at Obama's life; his rivals, probably not so much. In an ordinary campaign, that might have been it. But this is no ordinary campaign--not when Hillary Clinton is a candidate. And so, the Clinton team let Times reporter Patrick Healy, who covers the Hillary beat, know about their "annoyance" with the story, as Healy later put it.

Read about Hillary Clinton's history of planting questions at press conferences.

This TNR article looks like a psychiatric final exam. We can see at least 10 different diagnoses that would apply to the relationship between the Clintons and the press, including vindictiveness, passive aggression, and battered wife syndrome. It is not healthy. I dissected the article in a post at www.patriotroom.com.

Its not hard to get the press to do what you want when your a politician. Just say , ' roll over' and they do. Say ' Beg' and they do. Say " WMDs and mobile chemical trucks, and Al Qaeda and Bin Laden are close personal friends with Saddam" and they do nothing.
Its kind of a symbiotic relationship. The press keeps their mouths shut and never ask any real questions, the the politicians use them to spin their lies. Works really well for everyone but the American public.

Is there some good reason you're not doing this story on all the other campaigns?

Another cheap shot at Clinton.

And another notch on Ms. Huffington's yellow press credential.

Yes, the Clinton Camp does bully the press into positive Coverage. What everyone is forgetting about these plant questions? Remmeber this summer when a guy in Iowa asked her why she voted for the KYL/Libermann Iran resolution?
Her answer was: Are you a plant. Her and the guy that asked her the question agrued whether he was a plant from another campaign.
My next question is how can HRC respond with the answer unless she is aware of her campaign doing the same thing

No doubt they do. Just like every other campaign in American history. Go unearth a real story.

Does the Clinton camp bully the press: what a silly question. If they did, it has obviously never worked.

If Clinton has experience, then perhaps Laura Bush should run for president because her time as First Lady is the same as Hillary's and that seems to be Hillary's main experience claim over Obama and Edwards.

Since the media has chosen Hillary for us, whether they have been cajoled to or not, it saves us the time of driving to the polls and waiting in line to vote. We should just go on to swear in whoever the republican nominee is because Hillary can't win with the disapproval numbers she has.

Soon, very soon Senator Clinton will have the Democratic presidential nomination all tied up. Then, the very same posters who today are attacking Clinton will start singing her praises. I can hardly wait. This is going to be hilarious!

Where's the story about SEVEN YEARS of the bush league administration bullying the press into positive coverage????????

Where's the story about the House sending a bill to committee to impeach darth cheney?

All these stories do is feed the anti-Hillary campaign. I defy anyone to give a cogent, intelligent and factual reason why they hate Hillary Clinton.

She isn't my candidate of choice but I will support her against ANY of the republicons. Any day of the week.

I was concerned until I saw the source for the story.
More woman hate from the neocons' favorite magazine.

Shades of George Bush. Hillary and Bill, lockstep in the machinations of
George Bush -- secrecy and now attempting to control not only questions from an audience but the media as well.
]
What could be "annoying" to the Clintons about the coverage of Obama and a game? Oh I know---Hillary does not play basketball or any games so therefore anyone else who does needs to be emasculated and I don't think her running mate, Bill, plays any vigourous sports games either--but he does play golf on the
Walker Estate with Bush's daddy.

This is all the more reason NOT to vote for her. If this pisses her off what the hell would actually being in the White House be like?
