John Edwards' campaign against Hillary Clinton is definitely getting nasty. During an Iowa campaign stop, the New York Times reports that Edwards declined to answer whether he would support Hillary if she were the nominee. "I'm not willing to talk about that at this point," Edwards said, then waiting for the next question.

Edwards is right and should not be such a question because he is a more electable candidate than Hillary.

There are many Democrats who have pledged not to vote for Senator Clinton because they believe that she does not have the future of the party as a priority. Many believe that her candidacy is about their family and power and not really for the people.

Perhaps those who are promoting Hillary as the inevitable nominee should wonder why she has just 23% in Iowa. She may have a "lead" in the national polls but quoting this much-touted lead ignores the fact that the majority of Democarts who are supporting other candidates are three times more than those who support her.

This article is complete trash. Gossip.
Why should anyone have to pledge their allegiance before a single vote is cast?
Support for any politician must be earned every single day and on every issue.
This isn't a question about supporting any candidate... it's about supporting Hillary. What if you pledge your allegiance to Hillary and she self-destructs before winning anything? Then you'll find yourself holding a big flaming turd.

If Elliot Spitzer allows anyone (illegal or not) to get a NYC driver's license, I suggest we all go up and get NYC driver's licenses and then vote in the NY primaries.

Let's give Hillary's state to Edwards or Obama.

Edwards would be a traitor for not supporting whomever the nominee is.

Nobody is asking him to endorse Hillary now, but could it have killed him to say,

"I will support whomever the Democrats nominate. Obviously, I hope to be that person because I know that Democratic primary voters will nominate someone who has a clear record of standing up and fighting for the issues that matter to them."

Check out the Rasmussen match up polls. Edwards consistently bests all other Democratic candidates in competing with Republicans.

Am I the only one to notice that there are virtually NO articles in HuffPo about any Democratic candidate other than Hillary? And, in the rare case when another Dem candidate is mentioned, it is in relation to something about Hillary.

NEWS FLASH - THERE ARE OTHER CANDIDATES, QUALIFIED CANDIDATES, IN THE RACE!!!!!

It's good to see that Hillary remembers that there is a Constitution. I was having my doubts. Maybe she should be vigilant about what has happened, what is happening, and what she has chosen to ignore. Bill Clinton was responsible for The repeal of federal regulation that kept the banks, brokerage houses and insurance companies from merging. Now our economy is on the edge of devastation. Bill Clinton brought NAFTA and ushered in the WTO. Bill let our airwaves get auctioned to highest bidders and corporations seized control of both the airwaves and their content. Hillary said nothing when the term "pre-emptive war" was introduced, for the first time, into the American dialogue. Hillary said nothing when Bankruptcy reform stripped America's middle class from its protection. Hillary did nothing to prevent appointments of Gonzalez or Muchasey. Hillary has not said anything about the pre-9/11 telecom spying on all Americans. She doesn't deserve support. She'll run left and govern right just like Bill. America needs Progressive representation that will honor the Constituion and protect the working class. America doesn't need another Republican.

On the actual article there's an update that says John Edwards responded, saying he fully plans to support the Democratic nominee, and then there's a link. The article leaves out the rest of Edward's sentence. He says that fully plans to support the Democratic nominee, AND that he fully plans to be the democratic nominee.

No way in hell he's gonna support Hillary.

I like John...for what it's worth. I think he will be V.P. or possibly Pres, with Obama filling the other position.

Hillary's new campaign song will be "Fat Bottomed Girls Make the Rocking World Go 'Round" by Queen
