Rudy And Kerik Scandal

Rudy Giuliani's rivals are not at all satisfied with the former mayor's dismissal of the newest twist in the Bernard Kerik scandal. Commenting on book publisher Judith Regan's allegation that a senior executive at News Corp told her to lie to federal investigators about her affair with Kerik to protect Giuliani's nomination of Kerik as homeland security secretary, one McCain aide said,

"Obviously there are some very serious charges involved for a guy who was his protégé and one of his closest friends. And for Rudy to go out and say this is not worthy of discussion when it directly involves him and his decision making, and in the case of department of homeland security, the security of our country - it's disturbing that Rudy would think it's not something he is going to have to address. "

Birds of a feather flock together. I'd sure like to be a fly on the wall listening to the two of you doing the "Godfather talk." All that has been concealed during Rudy's tenure will be revealed. We're only at the tip of the iceberg.

RUDY LIKE BU$H HAS LIED AND ALIGNED HIMSELF WITH SO MANY CORRUPT AMORAL PALS THAT HE NO LONGER HAS ANY CREDIBILITY. HE IS A TYPICAL REDNECK CANDIDATE. ONE WHO THINKS LAWS AND RULES ARE FOR OTHERS NOT THE GOP CANDIDATES OR BUDDIES.

Saudi gang-rape victim is jailed
By Frances Harrison
BBC News

An appeal court in Saudi Arabia has doubled the number of lashes and added a jail sentence as punishment for a woman who was gang-raped.

The victim was initially punished for violating laws on segregation of the sexes - she was in an unrelated man's car at the time of the attack.

When she appealed, the judges said she had been attempting to use the media to influence them.

The attackers' sentences - originally of up to five years - were doubled.

Extra penalties

According to the Arab News newspaper, the 19-year-old woman, who is from Saudi Arabia's Shia minority, was gang-raped 14 times in an attack in the eastern province a year-and-a-half ago.

Seven men from the majority Sunni community were found guilty of the rape and sentenced to prison terms ranging from just under a year to five years.

But the victim was also punished for violating Saudi Arabia's laws on segregation that forbid unrelated men and women from associating with each other. She was initially sentenced to 90 lashes for being in the car of a strange man.

On appeal, the Arab News reported that the punishment was not reduced but increased to 200 lashes and a six-month prison sentence.

The rapists also had their prison terms doubled. But the sentences are still low considering they could have faced the death penalty.

The Arab News quoted an official as saying the judges had decided to punish the girl for trying to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media.

The victim's lawyer was suspended from the case, has had his licence to work confiscated, and faces a disciplinary session.

for violet47 and all others pondering the republican relationship to the poor: the sad truth is that too many POOR people don't give a damn about poor people. too many think their stop on poverty row is just a brief stay on the way to fame and fortune in the land where anything can happen. the funny thing is when the bush crowd start acusing people like edwards of class war because they mention that there's poverty in this country. class war isn't talking about inequities; class war is when the rich victimize the poor. you're right about huckabee, violet. at least he has some sense of humanity.

How about if Mitt first tells us if the Iraq War is so damn important - why aren't ANY of his sons signing up to server?

That is a much bigger question than who asked an adulterer to stay quiet about her affair and pillow-talk.

RUDY HAS NO ETHICS, MORALS OR INTEGRITY A PERFECT REPUKLICANT CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT.

Pile on! Out of all the Republican candidates, Julie-Annie is the worst. I'm glad the "front runners" are smelling the blood in the water and are taking action.

I'd vote Kucinich before I'd ever cast a ballot for "America's Mayor".

Rudy, Rommney, and Thompson are the worse. I don't like any of them but the only one who is not a typical class hater is Huckabee. He made a compassionate remark in a debate about the 500 to 1 ratio of the earings of CEOs to line workers, and all the othera looked at him with fear in their eyes tht he had mentioned that truth.
Rommney was laughing with his eyes when he was talking about ordinary people. He does not give a damn and it shows.

Serialize the tapes please in the 'New York Post'. Underscore the 'trysting' at the Ground Zero Safe House. The prurient unsavory nature of it. The rolls of writhing flesh, the sex-musk stink against the backdrop of a City shambling uneasily toward the light...
...the hypo-christians'll snap it up!

WE NEED SOME DEFENSE of Rambo Giuliani, our grinning doofus, and of his full time, now tarnished propagandists over at Fox working full time to get him into the White House to replace the Puppet squatting there.

Where are the Dupes who worship at the shrine of Fox Newstwister Channel, sitting mesmerized, jaws slackened with drool, and soon to be sent into a wild-eyed frenzy against "them libruls and thet librul, un-American media" in response to such characters as Shill O'Reilly who of late is teaching us all the elements of morality, Sean Hannutsy saying and doing anything to please a Neocon, and the newest recruit, old red-beard Brent Bozell spewing his bilge that clearly qualifies him as a member of this notoriously ultra-right winger gang.

Nosferatu - Guiliani

Ah, so for the first time in his life, Nosferatu is being held accountable. He can't like it, not when a POW-for-illegal-war-and-torture and a religious heretic catering to the fountain of hatred are the sources of the "criticism". We will leave aside the leisure-suited actor without a cause outside of money laundering. Do I have to fill in the names....?

Guiliani is very angry that he lost his twin towers and wants to bomb someone, anyone, in lieu of getting them back. Gotham just hasn't been the same for the old vampire of the fire services, who has yet to provide them with what he was told they needed ten years ago, never mind six...

I am reminded of the scene from Guiliani's biography - I mean, the movie Nosferatu - when the dock workers opened the old Dracula's crates and out poured the rats. Nosferatu had come to town, and something akin to the Black Death came with him.

The crazy man in the asylum - was that George B*** ? - grew all excited. Perhaps he would be pardoned? He started scampering about, and even tried looking out the window. Who knows what he sees when he looks at any of us...

It will surely be a dark day when the aura of Nosferatu-Guiliani spreads out from the dark streets of Gotham all across this once great land. It could only be a signal of death for another million, or perhaps many millions, of those innocents like you and me who unfortunately happen to inhabit the streets of whatever nation slips into his attention.

I wonder why Nosferatu hasn't already named Cheney to stay on as his "vice" president? They both like mass slaughter, will kill without just cause, and Nosferatu can't wait to get his slimy long fingers on the trigger.

Wow, it's a match made in ... The Heritage Foundation...!
