Mccain Clinton Bitch

Republican presidential hopeful John McCain says he respects Hillary Rodham Clinton and that he said as much when a woman used the word "bitch" to describe her.

"How do we beat the bitch?" the woman asked Monday at a McCain event in South Carolina.

Watch the video here.

....On Tuesday, CNN's Rick Sanchez raised the question of whether McCain should have admonished the woman, and McCain's campaign criticized that criticism on Wednesday.

"Most people who have seen it are looking at it as a real mistake on his part in terms of the way he handled it," Sanchez said on the cable network's "Out in the Open."

McCain's South Carolina campaign manager, Buzz Jacobs, said in a statement Wednesday: "It not only reflects poorly on him, but on CNN. If Mr. Sanchez had even the faintest perspective on the race for the White House, he would know that Senator McCain has expressed his utmost respect for Senator Clinton numerous times on the campaign trail, as he did at Monday's event in Hilton Head."

Hours later, the McCain campaign was using the controversy to raise money for his candidacy.

Campaign manager Rick Davis e-mailed supporters, saying, "We are asking you to help us fight Rick Sanchez and CNN and stand with John McCain. Please make your most generous contribution from $25 up to the maximum limit of $2,300 to the only candidate who can defeat Hillary Clinton."

Update: Politico's Jonathan Martin notes that McCain's fundraising email is also highly dishonest:

Irony aside, the McCain camp misrepresents the facts of the encounter with the lady in South Carolina who asked, "How do we beat the bitch?" McCain did not first respond by noting his respect for Clinton before talking up his electability, as Davis asserts in the email.

Rather, he laughed along with the rest of the crowd, cracked a joke and then laughed some more at another joke before deeming the inquiry "a good question." Then he cited favorable polling data. After all this, he noted his respect for his colleague.

McCain's campaign didn't respond when asked about the discrepancy.

tabloid stuff. I think Sanchez a lightweight, and his past is questionable (more tabloid)
On December 10, 1990, Sanchez struck a pedestrian, Jeffrey Smuzinick, with his car on a residential street near Dolphin Stadium after Smuzinick allegedly darted into the road.[2] Smuzinick, who was inebriated at the time of the incident, was paralyzed and a few years later died from his injuries.[2] Sanchez, who had just left an NFL football game, was not charged with causing the accident, but was charged with and pleaded no contest to DUI.[2]

but I agree with previous commenbts. Enpough small nonsense and deal with issues and items that matter. Huff degenerating and all because of dislike of Hillary. What happens if she gets the nomination? then this site will support Rudy?

You know what's mind boggling about this story? I watched the video, and this old dried up bitch asked McCan't "how do we get rid of the bitch", and everybody laughed, and now it's morphed into a hit piece on Hillary.

This is the most disgusting play of all. First she was criticized for not tipping, then for the flags falling down on a platform, then because her Bill said something in her behalf, and then the stupidest thing of all...a big hairy deal was made over her "planted" questions about global warming.

Not one of these so called stories has any legs, and no matter how desperately Arianna tries to knife Clinton at ever turn, it's not going to work. We can see this shit for what it is, a personal vendetta.

McCain thought the woman was referring to the other bitch, Rudy.

Verily, do you think McCain might object if someone, referencing him, asked Hillary or Obama, 'What do you think of the old scumbag from Arizona still backing Bush?' and the Dems laughed along?

I title this "Story you will never see on Huffpo"

Obama says he has no Illinois records
By MIKE BAKER and CHRISTOPHER WILLS, Associated Press Writers
16 minutes ago

RALEIGH, N.C. - Barack Obama, who's been scolding Hillary Rodham Clinton for not hastening the release of records from her time as first lady, says he can't step up and produce his own records from his days in the Illinois state Senate. He says he hasn't got any.

I don't have — I don't maintain — a file of eight years of work in the state Senate because I didn't have the resources available to maintain those kinds of records," he said at a recent campaign stop in Iowa. He said he wasn't sure where any cache of records might have gone, adding, "It could have been thrown out. I haven't been in the state Senate now for quite some time."

Obama's statement that he has no papers from his time in the Illinois statehouse — he left in 2004 — stands in stark contrast to the massive Clinton file stored at the National Archives: an estimated 78 million pages of documents, plus 20 million e-mail messages, packed into 36,000 boxes. While any file from Obama's time in the state Senate would be far smaller, the idea that no papers exist at all is questioned by one historian.

Try saying something about Barbara Bush or Lynne Cheney (who both qualify for the title as well) and you'll invoke the righteous wrath of the right. Call Hillary the same (by a wonam, no less) and McCain has to chuckle before offering a weak rebuke.

This nation has regressed to adolescence, and by the time we hold the election, we'll be even worse.

As I said earlier, just wait a few minutes and there'll be a Hillary Clinton hit piece up as the top thread, and to add to that, the one right under it.

It wouldn't be a day at huffpo without a shiv in Hillary's back.
