People- please pay attention to how all these plays out. Mary Winkler killed her pastor husband. She walks. Another nut-job woman in Texas drowned her children. She walks. A woman gets to walk free, no matter her crime, and particularly if she kills a member of her family. The cry-me-a-river media is always on board to blame it on emotional/physical abuse or postpartum distress. The pussyfication of the judicial system, no doubt.

Clearly, George Bush is behind the disappearance of these four women.

The guy could well have done it, but once again this a high profile case with an attractive white female is being trotted out for the public to be tried in the court of public opinion. Lacy Peterson, Nicole Simpson, Jonbenet Ramsey...

Guilty or not, the media knows that the public will have the Pavlovian response that we have been trained to have. Outrage, shock, disgust. But what is telling here is what we don't immediately see. Like how this sort of "local story" gets front page treatment and keeps our collective eyes off the war in Iraq, the economy and the shameful state of health care in this country. And even if one was to somehow conclude that this type of story merits attention, how come we NEVER hear about abused women of color, only attractive white women?

There is something sick and twisted how so many get collectively worked up about such an incident so remote from their lives. I would hazard to guess that there is some strange psychosexual gratification by the viewer in the way these stories gain such traction amongst the American public.

I don't know whether he's a murderer or not but one thing for sure, he's a really stupid dick head to agree to appear on Fox.
