Bush Tries To Cut Airline Delays

President George W. Bush plans to outline steps on Thursday aimed at relieving airline congestion, a move designed to boost industry performance and ease U.S. consumer concerns ahead of the heaviest travel period of the year.

White House officials, without releasing details, said Bush will offer steps "that will help reduce airline congestion" and propose measures that "will help ensure that travelers are treated fairly when flights are canceled or delayed."
