Today, in New York Supreme Court, in response to Dan Rather's civil lawsuit, CBS filed a lengthy 30-page motion to dismiss the case.

CBS executives also released a statement today, noting that they are "mystified" by Rather's "bizarre allegations" but will "vigorously" defend themselves in court if need be.

I don't know, I tend to side with Rather,
based on this administrations' rather 'special'
relationship with the media and the unwillingness to have things a little more
'out in the open', there. Too much press
coaching, not enough with the free press,
there. Sometimes the best 'weapon' used
in 'defense' is the 'new broom', as in one
that will 'sweep clean'. If you'd like to
see that, too, be sure to visit:

I guess the suits are trying to prevail. He's not bizarre at all, but the big corporations are out to squash anything that'll expose they're horrific greed.

Sheesh, time to cancel that Newsweek subscription AGAIN, and right after I decided to give them another chance. I canceled the first time after some neocon goon was hired, who called the anti-war people "traitors." Heck, I don't pay to read magazines full of bullcrap. Do they REALLY think that people won't cancel subscriptions now that they have hired the turdblossom?

"This man is trying to salvage his reputation. He has been a credible reporter for many, many years. The Bushies went after him, and buried him with lies. Rove knows that the report about Georgie being AWOL, and avoiding his service obligations are all true. They are the biggest pack of liars ever to be in the White House. The place needs fumigating, and an exorcism when they leave."

Word.

CBS is a dinosaur, slow and old- bogged down by a history of playing footies with the DC Mob.ABC's like a Born Again on Crack.NBC 's the only one who has reached from the grave & haze to pull them selves into reality. LOVE MSNBC's Keith Olbermann!!! Truly MUST WATCH TV.

It's hard for him to cope with the fact he is old and no longer a player of the current times. It takes awhile for it to soak in. It's a punch in the gut to realize your ideas and ways no longer are valid. It's the twenty year fadeout process, as the new brains take up the reins. Such is life!

The Neo Con owned News Media Conglomerates are paid billions of American Taxpayer dollars by the Neo Con Parasites infesting the Executive branch. They're busy obfuscating the truth and in Collusion to keep us disinformed.

CBS is simply trying to cover it's back. It certainly is a shill for Bush and his neo-con empire builders. Trashing Dan Rather was no more difficult than removing a piece of food between their teeth. Bush is a prime example of ineptitude and incompetence ~ it's his nature!

I've been fired a couple of times without cause and it is a waste of time/money to try to get justice. He should just retire on his investments and enjoy life.

Telling the truth is "bizarre" in neocon land.
