Cnn Debate

AP:

Under pressure in a caustic campaign debate, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Thursday night the American people "know where I stand" and accused her rivals of distorting her record and slinging mud "right out of the Republican playbook."

"There's nothing personal about this," countered former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, who joined Illinois Sen. Barack Obama in bluntly accusing Clinton of forever switching positions on Social Security, driver's licenses for illegal immigrants and other issues.

the nonsense and insults that seem to be a main part of comments at this site show that American education is in fact a big failure.

Why did CNN waste the first 15 minutes of the debate introducing the candidates, then go back to the studio for "expert analysis" before the debate got started. The candidates were on stage while we were stuck listening to nonsense about who needs to do what. Ask the candidates the questions! Who gives a crap about what your studio thinks. It bordered on narcissism.

I'm surprised Obama and Edwards were not tasered for questioning the anointed one.

Hillary is a second term Senator claiming 34 years of experience. Oh, please!

So who got more talking time?

Here is the "Talk Clock" from the website of Chris Dodd (the older candidate with the white hair):

Last night I came away from the debate wanting a
Kucinich/Biden ticket

The Enlightened Peacekeeper
and
The Experienced Realist

(Biden might need to tone down the sarcasm, though)

I know this will never happen, but I actually felt HOPE listening to those two.

The moths are drawn to the flame, and everyone goes at Hillary. That is star power. She has been fired in the crucible and has emerged as pure element. She is going to be the next President, and a very tough one.

Finally the Clinton "trick" comes out about those "pro Hillary booing birds" that helped her out, courtesy of First Read:

"Hillary really benefited from the audience responses. An organizer for the debate told First Read that each campaign received 22 tickets, while the state party and UNLV invited the rest. But just how many of the rest were Clinton supporters? Because their booing when Edwards or Obama confronted Clinton was distracting to the candidates and threw them off. The audience was supposed to play a role via the questions they asked; instead, they played a MAJOR role in helping Clinton have home-field advantage."

People know where she stands? As a sixty year old, lifetime Democrat, I am getting a pretty good idea as to who Hillary is.

On Health care, she wants the insurance companies to stay in the game rather than the simplest and most efficient single payer system that any real Democrat would be for.

On Social Security, she wants to avoid the huge tax increase on the rich that would solve the money crunch by eliminating the $97,000 cut off on deductions. Hillary says she's protecting the middle class?

On Iraq and Iran, she has voted often enough to show her allegiance to the MIC and the Crusade for Muslim Resources that is being sold as the GWOT. That is not what we Democrats voted for in 2006.

On NAFTA and CAFTA, she's all for the SHAFTYA.
On Domestic spying, she'll be watching you too.
On Habeas Corpus, she won't be giving it back.

Bottom line, Hillary Clinton is a REPUBLICAN!

Biden Is The Best Candidate But Lets Vote For Hillary Because She Is The Front Runner ?????
We Need Biden But We Will Choose Hillary Instead - It Just Doesn,t Make Sense To Me Why We Should Settle For Less.
I Will vote for Her if She wins in Jan.But I Will Vote For Biden In Jan Not Hillary.
I Just Cannot Stand The Thought Of Another Republican In The White House.Everything They Touch Turns To Shi-!
But We Really Need Someone Who Has Experience In Foreign Affairs & I Don,t Believe Hillary Is It.

I agree with the comment by ConstanceBlake:

"I think they each should have 'Cheney'd' their response, and simply said-

I reject the premise of your question. Drivers licenses are a States issue. I'm not running for Governor. At this point, any State that chooses to pretend undocumented workers dont' drive is free to do so. Period."

Unfortunately, I was not able to see the debate. Since the media has their own partisanship on who and who did not win,

I'll rely on you, fellow Huffers, to give me the one name scoop on who won last nights Democratic debate:
