The Sun:

Amy Winehouse's tour manager has quit -- saying doctors found HEROIN in his system after he inhaled it passively on their bus.

Thom Stone said working with drug-addled Amy and her husband was harming his health.

It was revealed just a day after the singer went into meltdown on stage, slurring her words and insulting fans as hundreds walked out.

When she finally kills herself, I want to be present at the autopsy of that hairdo.

The secrets it must contain! The new, undiscovered species mutating in there!

I recall when this poor gal had a voice. I've seen the recent videos of her constantly wasted. She needs an intervention. She is on a path to self-destruction and, if someone doesn't step in, my guess is that within the next year, her friends and family will be attending her funeral. I hope she can get it together.

If we could only get Winehouse, Spears, Lohan and Hilton into a Humvee and have them drive around Iraq. That would be a product worth exporting.

Is it possible to milk more stories out of Ms. Winehouse's possible addictions?

I guess so, I have milked my addiction as much as I can...

When itunes featured her album at only seven or eight dollars, I thought I'd give it a sampling. I liked that she sounded like a real soul singer, not one of these overly emotive, phony, resembling singing-through-a-fan, screaming-for-screams sake, but the songs were uninteresting. Yes they were cliched, but so many are. They just had this copycat quality to them. I know she's been lavishly praised by all the old rockers who wish it was still the sixties or maybe even the thirties, and musically, I guess I do too, but she's been lauded in ways that originators rather than imitators enjoy. Also, because she looks like the illustrated woman, she's an easy target for the paparazzi industry to exploit her drug addled persona. That she is self destructive is a shame; that she would drag other people down with her is kind of endemic to the lifestyle yet nonetheless, a shame; but that people are witnessing this to make money off it is an even bigger shame. Celebrate the talent but not the stupidity and/or weaknesses that some artists exhibit. As Chip Taylor once sang, "I want the real thing!" Also, we don't need "the latest." Queen Aretha and many of the other great soul singers are still alive and sounding as powerful as ever. Is there room for winehouse? definitely. Is she the be all, end all? definitely not. get past the hype!
