Democrats can't even get the bill passed. This is sickening. They need to know that they don't get one more dime, not any of them until a bill with a timeline to withdraw from Iraq is passed and sent to Bush and over and over until the money runs out for the war.

It seeed to me that everyone in the audience at the debate last night wanted to see the troops out of Iraq. I cannot see how in Hell these politicians can interpret that as "the majority want us to stay in Iraq"when they throw more lives and money away.

What? No budget approval?

I guess we'll have to NOT pay those crooked Iraqi Politicians!
I guess we'll NOT have to pay those NO BID contractors!
I guess we'll NOT have to payoff those terrorists to temporarilly work for us rather than against us!

CUT THE FUNDING! If Bush wants the war BAD ENOUGH he and his rich friends WILL FIND A WAY to pay for it - so buck up warmongers! He can pull a Reagan and have some of his colonels/generals run narco/arms for money like good patriot Ollie North did or just pay for it out of their billions in off shore bank accounts. Then when all this is found out, it'll make for a nice trial. Hopefully the next Ollie North type won't get off! Let's face it, Reagan was saved from impeachment by senility!

Explosive weapons on wane in Iraq, U.S. Says
BY: Amit R. Paley, Washington Post
11/16/2007

BAGHDAD, Nov. 15 -- The number of roadside bombs and other explosive devices found in Iraq has fallen to its lowest level in two years, in part because of Iranian efforts to stop the weapons from flowing into the country, a top U.S. military official said Thursday.

Maj. Gen. James E. Simmons said 1,560 bombs were found last month across Iraq, a steep drop from the 3,239 found in March and about the same amount reported in September 2005.

"We have seized the initiative and placed the enemy on the defensive," Simmons said at a news conference inside Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone.

The disclosure was the latest in a string of announcements by American officials that have sought to portray the security situation in Iraq as vastly improved since a buildup of U.S. troops began in February. Many Iraqis and outside observers, however, are skeptical that the decrease in violence will be more than fleeting.

Simmons said that Iran, which U.S. officials have called the source of the deadliest bombs in Iraq, appears to now be controlling the flow of weapons across its borders, in keeping with a pledge Iranian leaders made this summer.

"We have not seen any recent evidence that weapons continue to come across the border into Iraq," said Simmons, deputy commanding general of Multinational Corps-Iraq. "We believe that the initiatives and the commitments that the Iranians have made appear to be holding up."

It's obvious that the dems will cave.....they always do......this ws just a stunt to try to persuade the hateful extremists groups like moveon.org that they tried and failed. They're looking for a way to take the heat off themselves....good tactical move.....but let's face it.....it's not a winning move.

If the Pentagon needs money for bullets, stop paying the overpriced no bid contracts to Blackwater and Haliburton, that should free up a shitload of money

The Congress just passed a 471 billion defense (war) appropriation bill, which provided a huge increase to the military-industrial complex. Much of the money was for gee-whiz, hi-tech weaponry, which made some sense during the Cold War, but has no use now.

Bush can cancel the gold-plated weapons, and use that enormous sum of money to fund the Oil War in Iraq.

No additional appropriations are needed.

Political theater with huffpo heavily involved in selling this lie.

The funding is already in place.....

People want the war to end. DLC Democrats have been enabling Bush for years and this smoke and mirrors show by Reid is an insult to any informed voter.

Kucinich is the answer.

Support the troops. Don't give "shrub" one more damn nickle. Without funding the administration can only juggle so much money around until they are forced to follow the will of the American people and BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!

And, to Nancy Peloser, it's time to start the impeachment proceedings. Cheney first, followed by the "decider".

You know the Dems will give in. They havent done a damn thing they promised us since we elected them into power. Reid and Pelosi are GOP whores who make a lot of noise, and then roll over and give in. So much for anything of their 'first 100 days' its been a couple hundred days and all they have done is the complete opposite. If they couldnt do what they promised, they shouldnt have promised.
