At 9:27 this morning, Fox Business Morning for Breakfast co-anchor Alexis Glick eagerly reported Apple (AAPL) had taken an 8% stake in AMD. Fox's guest contributor, Charles Payne, immediately analyzed the deal and pronounced it a brilliant move for both parties.

The problem? It wasn't Apple buying AMD. It also, unfortunately, wasn't a mysterious pan-Arabian country called "Abu Dubai," as Glick announced when she corrected the Apple report. (It was Abu Dhabi.)

Of all the errors and inappropriately slanted discussions paraded daily on FBN, this ranks at the bottom. It was a simple error that was immediately corrected. Some of the other erroneous statements that come out of the mouths of the FBN people are really unbelievable. Last week I heard Rebecca Gomez refer to Fannie Mae as a "government agency" that supplies money to people to make homes affordable. I wonder if she thinks Halliburton is a government agency, too.

Apparently much like their news station the Fox Biz network cannot get it right at least they are trying to be honest which is more then Fox news does. Problem is though this is a business news show you would thnk they could get it right, the funny part was the creation of a fictious country. I shudder to think what other misreporting they have done, and how many people actually use this reporting to make business decisions.

Ever see the jokers on Kudlow trying
to out conservative Fox Business?
There was Larry dutifully reading off
the rigged inflation numbers. The guy he's
talking to blurts out "phony numbers".
Larry retorts "phony numbers"? In order
to make up for telling the truth and
wanting to be invited back he yells
out "tax and spend democrates"...
all is forgiven.

Just for fun, they should make the guy news readers wear the short skirts and the girl news readers the suits and red ties!

I suppose this can serve as a good launching point to attack Fox News, or as known in "progressive" land..."they who do not actively promote the true path as all 'news' sources should". But the actual incident seems unimportant. Anyone who babels on TV for a living, anyone, makes these kinds of mistakes on live TV.

That is beyond hilarious. The whole network is just one big trainwreck. Fox is good for one thing and its something that they actually have NO INPUT on...

The Simpsons.

They look like a variation of Fox and Friends, the little rightwing clubhouse in the morning. Abu Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Abu Ghraib. What's the difference? They're all A-rabs.
I'm surprised they didn't point out that Steve Jobs is a liberal and is half Lebanese-American by birth.
Did this folly have any effect on Apple's stock price?
And Neil Cavuto is the head anchor at Faux Biz Channel. He's blaming Pelosi for high gas prices, not the policies of his heroes Bush and Cheney.
Idiots. All of 'em.

Wait a minute, Bush and the Repugs are still inviting and kissing the hands of the Sauds in this country, you know, the backers of 911. Repugs are just sickeningly ironic and completely retarded.

PENTAGON INSIDER HAS DIRE WARNING

Daniel Ellsberg, the former Defense Department analyst who leaked the secret Pentagon Papers history of the Vietnam War, offered insights into the looming attack on Iran and the loss of liberty in the United States at a recent American University symposium. What follow are his comments from that speech. They have been edited only for space.

By Daniel Ellsberg

Let me simplify . . . and not just to be rhetorical: A coup has occurred. I woke up the other day realizing, coming out of sleep, that a coup has occurred. It"s not just a question that a coup lies ahead with the next 9-11. That"s the next coup that completes the first.

The last five years have seen a steady assault on every fundamental of our Constitution . . . what the rest of the world looked at for the last 200 years as a model and experiment to the rest of the world"in checks and balances, limited government, Bill of Rights, individual rights protected from majority infringement by the Congress, an independent judiciary, the possibility of impeachment.

There have been violations of these principles by many presidents before. Most of the specific things that Bush has done in the way of illegal surveillance and other matters were done under my boss Lyndon Johnson in the Vietnam War: the use of CIA, FBI, NSA against Americans.

All these violations were impeachable had they been found out at the time but in nearly every case the violations were not found out until [the president was] out of office so we didn"t have the exact challenge that we have today.
