Sen. John Kerry, whose 2004 presidential campaign was torpedoed by critics of his Vietnam War record, said Friday he has personally accepted a Texas oilman's offer to pay $1 million to anyone who can disprove even a single charge of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

In a letter to T. Boone Pickens, the Massachusetts Democrat wrote: "While I am prepared to show they lied on allegation after allegation, you have generously offered to pay one million dollars for just one thing that can be proven false. I am prepared to prove the lie beyond any reasonable doubt."

Poor ole Frenchy is still smarting about having his FAKE war record exposed. Well now Pickens has upped the ante to let little Frenchyboy prove anything the Swiftboaters said was false.

And of course he will not and can not.

He still has not release ALL his war records. Wonder why?

The Ambassador and the General were briefing me on the -- the vast majority of Iraqis want to live in a peaceful, free world. And we will find these people and we will bring them to justice.
-- Yikes. White House, Oct. 27, 2003

Freudian slip?

Unlike in Vietnam, if we withdraw before the job is done, this enemy will follow us home. And that is why, for the security of the United States of America, we must defeat them overseas so we do not face them in the United States of America.
-- The Iraqi insurgents will follow us home, after we leave their country? Sorry, that seems about as far fetched as suggesting that the Viet Cong would have followed us home from Vietnam. Kansas City, Missouri, Aug. 22, 2007

Unless there was footage documenting Kerry being less than courageous, all we have is the testimony of his boat's men. As far as I know, they all support his side. The swift boat ads were a sad chapter in scummy politics. Just one more section on the wall of shame.

Scortchedearth....

John Kerry served a tour before he became a Swiftboater... and the full term of his enlistment.

Too funny that you don't know that.

Ravenlea...if you're still here.... think about the arguments you're reading here. John Kerry volunteered in Viet Nam, and his testimony at the hearing all those years ago, the thrust of his being there at all was as a veteran telling America what was wrong with the abuse and expectations of American soldiers in a war they were tired of funding, tired of losing, tired of being lied to about.

He worked tirelessly years and years later to investigate the constant rumor that Americans were held captive in Vietnam or surrounding nations.

He has worked diligently to support troops wherever and whenever they have been called to duty around the world.

George Bush avoided service and went AWOL when he could no longer pretend to avoid it. As POTUS he has mismanaged a war of choice, sent troops into danger without proper armor or amunition, caused hundreds of thousands of deaths needlessly, thousands and thousands of wounded veterans returning to find VA hospitals ill prepared to attend to them, AND GEORGE BUSH CUTTING BENEFITS WHEREVER HE CAN.

No one died because John Kerry mis-spoke... and the very soldiers who mocked his statement from Iraq returned to find they served one day too few to qualify for education benefits....something some of them doubted was an accidental mis cue in the paperwork.

For some reason, you will see people pretending to be veterans mocking John Kerry,
with nothing at all to say about how it was that George Bush never served.

That is a major clue for you. They are Bushies, not veterans.

"I am prepared to show they lied on allegation after allegation..."

You don't need the money, so let me save you the trouble. You're three years too late, and no one gives a shit anyomore. Move on.

11/1/06: Iraq Vets Call for Apology From Senator Kerry

Iraq Vets Call for Apology from Senator Kerry
Inappropriate Comments Are a Distraction from Important Issues

NEW YORK - The nation's first and largest Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans organization, IAVA (iava.org), released the following statement today from Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff in response to Senator John Kerry's remarks Monday.

"Senator Kerry should issue an immediate apology for his misguided and inappropriate remarks," said Paul Rieckhoff, an Iraq War veteran, and the founder and executive director of IAVA. "His comments, and his refusal to offer an apology, have angered many troops and veterans, and have become an unfortunate distraction from the real issues that face this nation."

"Let's not forget that while our politicians are busy fighting each other, our troops are busy fighting the enemy. Right now there is a US Soldier missing somewhere in Iraq, but our leadership in Washington and the American media is consumed by this latest example of politics at its worst," Rieckhoff said. "It's time to get back to the issues that matter."

For more information, or to schedule an interview with Paul Rieckhoff or any of IAVA's member veterans, please contact Will Coghlan at 212-982-9699 or will@iava.org.

For the next step T.Boone needs to suggest a venue and a jury to determine the winner.

Hey, remember the little known opposition group to the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth"? They were the "Drunken Stateside Sons of Privilege for Plausible Deniability".

Credit goes to The Daily Show for that one.

Never Forget.

Bush is still AWOL from his national guard unit and is now a traitor.

Cheney supported the Vietnam war but when asked to fight in it, cried like a bitch and was given five draft deferments.

Why is it that the upper crust Republican crowd that would never serve their country in a million years always seems to be first in line to decide whether vets who are Democrats were adequately patriotic? The day the T. Boone Pickens of the US serve in the military is the day a snow flake doesn't melt in hell. Why do Republicans hate America's combat veterans?
