'Trust Us, We're Experts!': George Will Predicts Ron Paul Will Finish In The Double-Digits in New Hampshire

According to David Brooks, the state of New Hampshire is blanketed with "posters" for Ron Paul, which can be seen as you "drive around." And we've got no reason to doubt Brooks: the man is willing to do just about anything to attain "authenticity," so we can totally see him aimlessly driving around the Granite State, staring at Ron Paul paraphernalia.

But George Will gave us pause today, predicting that Ron Paul would finish in "the double-digits" in the New Hampshire primary. Somehow, this was not accompanied by a crack of thunder, a blood-curdling scream, or stigmata appearing on the Statue of Liberty. Nevertheless, it makes us a'scurred. Deeply a'scurred. Help us, Wonkette/RedState team up: You're our only hope!

I thought this was the best interactive I have found....Funny Ron Paul has the most agreements out of 300k people. According to this he has won 6 consecutive weeks in a row.

New Hampshire's motto is "Live Free or Die." Seriously, who besides Ron Paul are they going to vote for?

Sorry folks, but Ron Paul is the 2007 version of Ross Perot. Never to be heard from again. Enjoy the euphoria while it lasts.....

People have not realized the following of Dr. Paul yet...I should say he has stayed under the radar, as planned.
The campaign knows it will have one chance to blow this wide open and show its true power. Wait till the people see their true power!
I cant wait!
It has already happened in Galveston...
Every year he runs...
The Dems cant explain it.
The Tom Delays of the worlds hate him and cant explain it!
The Paul campaign does not want media attention. Not yet.
The media has fallen for a trap.
When Dr. Paul wants positive media attention he will play them like a finely tuned fiddle!
Look at what he has done so far.
He is the only Republican candidate making money and actually spending from his cash on hand.
97% of his Texas campaign contributions came from individuals...The next closet was Sheila J. Lee at 68% Individuals/32% corporations.
Huckabee has 800k to run a campaign...Even with free media attention, is BROKE...So is McCain.
Thompson is a dead head and has no chance...
So that leaves "Rootie" and "Mittens"...
Well then,
Let the games begin!
Watch the drumbeat for peace get LOUDER and LOUDER!!!
Watch Dennis Kucinich jump ship...
Did anyone hear Kucinich say at the debate
"I will not back anyone that does not want to end the war immediately."?
Ron Paul said this exact same thing 1 month ago when asked which Republican he would choose.
He said the same.
We need a peoples party.
They know this and they have the legal knowledge on both campaigns to make this happen....
This campaign will be one for the books.
Just watch and see!

:)

I would love the voters of New Hampshire to give Ron Paul a Victory ... if only to scare the living excrement out of the beneficiaries of the Status Quo.

Believe you me, a Ron Paul victory would signal the awakening of a mighty beast that those benefiting from the Status Quo have spent much effort and money to put into hibernation ...

The American Voter.

They are misinforming us and trying to evade issues....Please wake up and see this for what it is.
We must debate "real issues" and speak on our economy, Iraq and foreign policy....I still can not say where any Democrat stands on all the issues. Why arent they screaming for impeachment? Ron Paul is. Dennis Kucinich and Mike gravel are. Why not the others?

Three times this weekend I have heard a Senator and 2 award winning talk show hosts explain that America is in a prime position to impeach Dick Cheney!

The Republicans, up until one week ago, have been saying it would be too un-nerving for the American people to go through another impeachment.
The Dems have gone along with this.
Consistently.
Last week everything changed when Republicans started switching their votes on impeachment and "mocking" the Democrats and causing trouble...
John Conyers has said "this has changed everything."

Ill say this again: JOHN CONYERS SAID SATURDAY "THIS HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING."

Please call his office Monday morning and request impeachment proceedings begin IMMEDIATELY.
These Republicans must pay for their arrogance and bullying...
Bernie Sanders has said "your calls DO matter."
They ALL say this....
This war will not end unless these people are impeached or "IF" Ron Paul wins the presidency. Thats too long to wait on an "IF".
Please call.

The Ron Paul campaign has received more military contributions than all the GOP candidates put together. And he is the ONLY candidate who wants to end the war immediately and bring the troops home. That in itself speaks volumes.

Ron Paul may indeed win a plurality in NHampshire, but the candidate from Texas is going nowhere. He is 72, a little too out of the mainstream, but filled with good ideas. Ron Paul II, whomever that might be, is the future of the Republican Party.

The GOP is going down in 2008. Big. Like Santorum in PA and Blackwell in OH big. The Revival Tent Republicans are going to take the GOP down with their intolerant, moralizing busybody views. In 2008 they will claim that the conservatives are sitting home. They will pass the snakes around in 2012 and lose huge again. But this time, the loss be rightfully attributed to who caused it.

Ron Paul I's short tenure will be noticed and put to the test. By 2016 the new GOP standard bearer will be rid of the Revival Tent Republicans, have a new agenda that will not be beholden to the Traveling Salvation Show. It will have had a regional test, be successful and be ready for a national run where it will indeed be a major hit.

For the next 4 and probably 8 years, the Dems should enjoy their success. They will have a winning Trifecta: Control of the House, Senate and the White House. Not a sure fire proof majority, but they will stop the Bible Belt Theocrats from taking this country down a Taliban like path.

But look out for 2016. Ron Paul II is coming.

I have no idea how Dr. Paul will score when actual votes from actual voters are counted . . . IF they are actually counted, that is.

I know from aimlessly driving around sleepy small towns in the upper Midwest that Ron Paul's yard signs are seen where no others are. I also know that "lawn signs don't vote."

Ron Paul "rules" on the internet; raising $4 million literally overnight last month; furthermore, his supporters won every NONscientifc post-debate poll (results were suppressed each time, wouldn't you know it.)

Yet the allegedly scientific polls show Gov. Huckabee is the guy with momentum, not Dr. Paul, with the possible exception of New Hampshire. The anointed candidate, and the main pretender, cannot afford to ignore Huckabee, and each must try to buy him off with promises of the VP spot or other political bribery. Who will make him the juicier offer---Giuliani or Romney? My money's on Rudy, because of that "Mormonism" business with Mutt.

Huckabee seems to be using his preacher background and folksy manners to scoop up the hitherto-confused troops of the fundie theocrats---the American Taliban. Since this well-drilled and easily-manipulated cadre makes up 50% of the Thug hard-core base, they must be bought off, and not fought off, by Rudy and Mutt.

The Ron Paul campaign has been the source of many surprises. If they can out-hustle the conformist candidates in real life, as opposed to "virtual reality," we could see a phenomenon (politically, not ideologically) comparable to the George Wallace campaign in 1972. Wallace won both Michigan's and Maryland's Democratic primaries that year, despite being 180 degrees opposed to all the other competing Democrats. In the end, Wallace was only stopped by bullets.

The Thug base is so BRAINWASHED that successful insurgency by Ron Paul seems unlikely. On the other hand, the USA has had leaders emerge as if from nowhere in past times of crisis. This will be interesting.

We'll know that Ron Paul has arrived when the HuffPo folk start trying to tear him down.

Dr.Paul was just supported by Barry Goldwater Jr.no doubt...that should place him at least at the #2 spot.

I'd like to see Paul & Kucinich team up, along with anybody else that wants to claim independence.

Yes, Ron Paul will do very well in New Hampshire. He may even win a plurality. That is only because independants can vote in primary elections in New Hampshire. But after that he has nowhere to go since most of his support comes from independants not Republicans. At least this will force the media to acknowledge his presense in the race. He is the only Republican candidate who supports withdrawal from Iraq. However, his opposition to foreign aid and his isolationist policies make him anathema to certain powerful groups in this country. So the media will continue to try to ignore him or treat him like a nut case. His only real alternative is to run as a third party candidate. He cannot win but he will scare the hell out of the other two parties and he may even force a political realignment in this country which we so badly need.

Will's prediction seems far from absurd. Despite his affiliation with the GOP, Paul is a Libertarian, and I've often heard that Libertarianism has a lot of adherents in New Hampshire.

I like Paul's basic message, especially the
part about foreign entanglements. Dr. Paul's
site has some pretty good insights, doesn't
promise billions in handouts, as far as I
could tell, anyway, gets back to basic
principles and away from the part where people
have free rein to vote themselves money and
privilege out of other people's pockets. Good
stuff.
