The Hollywood writers' strike, which is bringing a premature end to the current TV season, now threatens to delay development of next fall's schedule, too.

Industry observers predict that if the walkout doesn't end within weeks it will disrupt the entire program-development process for the 2008-09 season.

P.S.
Ever hear of re-runs?
Americans will eat reheated food and watch reruns with nary a complaint. It's how we roll.
There's this new thing called cable TV, and guess what? Not every cablt TV show has to have a stable of writers on hand.

We already know the fall '08 TV season is in jeopardy.
Why?
Because Arianna has about 1,000 of you strikers blogging about it 24/7.
I am all for the writers, but as one writer put it, "brevity is the soul of wit."
I like TV but I think I'll survive if crap like "Cavemen" has to be shelved next fall.

I understand that any strike negatively affects union members and their families, but if this was the Teamsters Union striking, ya think we'd have to skip past 40 blogs a day about it on HuffPo?

Maybe Arianna should start a side-blog and let all these Writers' Guild members jibberjabber in one place so her readers can skip it if they want.

Not to be mean to anyone because I support the writers 100%, but I haven't had a TV in a year and it's great. Personally, I hope the writers don't cave. I hope they can tough it out for as long as it takes to get what they deserve, and all of it, but how sad that people have to do that.

We can only hope.

Inane sit-coms, cops and robbers,
or recruiting shows like 24, NCIS and
The Unit.

Propaganda.
All courtesy that Liberal Press Conspiracy.

You remember all those lefties in the
entertainment industy?!

OK, we're fast approaching a crisis here.

We may require Federal intervention to end this strike, perhaps on the part of Congress or the President... someone needs to step up, and soon, before we find ourselves knee-deep in a crisis of catastrophic proportions!

I mean, just what will it do to the moral fibre of America, if the American People and their children are unable to sit before the television, staring mindlessly at CBS's "Two and a Half Men"?

There's only so much sacrifice we as a People can bear, before it's just too much.

A serious national crisis looms.
