HARD-driving television producer Shelley Ross, who's known for her volcanic temper and her 16-hour workdays, is shaking up CBS's "The Early Show."
Since Ross was named senior executive producer in September, eight staffers are said to have left the show, having either quit the network entirely or transferred to other jobs at CBS.

On a side note: CBS is always reporting "Green" stories, so why are they wasting fuel and adding to the carbon emissions by flying a guest clear across the country? With all the technology we have today, this seems excessive.
At all levels, people who work together should always address each other with courtesy. They should say "please," and "thank you." Those who don't should be faced off and told to "shove it up their arse." Always be willing to quit after you tell them off. Don't take crap.
I've heard of this type of conduct (along with a hefty dose of sexual harassment, often enough) at small, family-run businesses. I thought larger ones usually had codes of conduct that include the word "respect" somewhere.
It seems to me that somebody needs to apply a bucket of cold water to the silly bitch next time she gets wound up.
I love to see her dealing with union staff that way. She'd be out on her ass so fast.
Employees need to be treated with a modicum of respect.
And some losers still say unions are not needed anymore. At least they keep jerks like this in line.

Shelley Ross needs to be fired. Otherwise, they won't be able to keep anyone working on the show. She'll just end up creating more trouble with the Network than what she's worth later on.
Don't care, I'm off to work before the show is on, I guess one could only care if they have the luxury of not having to get to work.
Jeez it's in the NY Post for gosh sakes and Page Six at that. All that meaness for not much.

Oh. This explains a lot. The charming Miss Ross must be the one responsible for the ridiculous change in Hannah Storm's TV personality. Suddenly, she's all "you won't BELIEVE!! this next story." And, "how will the Fed rate cut affect Mahhhms and kids." I instantly went from loving The Early Show to despising it. Now there's nothing watchable in the morning.
Shelley Ross came with a reputation. Anyone, especially in NYC, especially in TV, that didn't know her reputation spent the past decade living blissfully unaware in a cave blocked off from the world by a large bolder.
CBS knew who and what they were hiring.
Tacitly, CBS brass condones this behavior.
They weren't hiring Shirley Temple -- they knew what they were getting and didn't care.
I'm sure she's proud of her behavior.
Instead of developing people to be the best they can be, she drives them off.
And expects them to put up with her behavior.
Where do they teach this in B-schools. Get to the top, you get to act like a complete jerk.
