Julia Roberts appeared on Oprah today with Tom Hanks to promote their new movie, Charlie Wilson's War, which opens on Christmas. But Julia also took the opportunity to show the first photo of her son Henry Moder, born this past June. She said of Henry, he is "the sweetest child known to mankind (and I think I can say that objectively)" and "very gorgeous." Even Tom Hanks agreed, despite earlier joking with Julia that he thought Henry was just an average baby, saying "I take it back. That's an adorable kid." Watch:

From ABC, 11/19

That's really a bad pic of Roberts. She looks like a guy in drag. She needs to cut her hair. She's no twenty-something any more. When women get to a certain age long hair like that only makes them look older.

She has never been pretty or a good actress............why people like her I have no idea.

It's obvious Julia's had some work done since the last time that I saw her, which was when she was pregnant with this last baby. She looked terrific then, and her best feature (her smile) was just so brilliant and naturally expressive, connected to her conversation.

In this video, she looks terrible. At first, it looked like she's lost enough weight to have that cadaverish look, but it's more than just lost weight. Her skin is waxy, and her face is frozen.

With those strange drawn on, non-moving eyebrows it looks like she's had some botox in the forehead. But on second scrutiny, she's had surgery. That's a surgical face-lift. Her eyes (the skin from her eyelashes to the brow) have been lifted, pulled taut.

The effect is like when Melanie Griffith had her first plastic surgery. Her face has never relaxed back into her seeming comfortable and natural, relaxed. Both Melanie Griffith and Julia Roberts inhabited their faces and bodies so beautifully, uniquely. This is very sad. Julia Roberts seemed more secure and together to have done this to herself.

oh no! here she comes again! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

although, i though her performance in her oscar winning role was her best (because she was playing herself) she could never deram in a lifetime of delivering a performance even on the same planet as ellen burstyn in RFAD --

i thought they gave her the oscar with the condition that whe would go away forever.

I have NEVER understood how anyone thought she was a good actress, a good looking woman and worthy of the adoration she has garnered.

I can only hope the kid doesn't take after his mom in the looks department, cuz she' butt ugly.

One movie star flaunts baby pics on national tv while another one gets in a fistfight with the paparazzi for taking pictures of his kids.

Maybe stars should have to choose, at the beginning of their career, tabloids, or no tabloids.

From then on, they're on a list, and either they're fair game for all the publicity their agent and the tabloids can create, or else they're completely off limits. No tv interviews either.
