Don't buy your turkey from a mega farm. Hunt your own. I did. Wild turkeys (as well as venison, duck and pheasants) are a lean, green alternative to animals raised in mega-farms.

The majorityof hunters are responsible conservationists that have a great respect for the land. Sure there are a few inbreds out there that feel they can poach as many animals as they can, and litter the camps with trash.

But ask hunters how they feel about what they hunt and where they hunt, and you will find most have a respect for the animal they eat and the land where they hunt.

If you know where your food is coming from, you actually start to eat healthier.
