Vick Surrenders To Police

AP:

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick voluntarily surrendered Monday before his sentencing on a dogfighting charge and was being held at a regional jail, according to a court document and prosecutors.

Vick is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 10 on the dogfighting conspiracy charge but decided to surrender in anticipation of a prison term, the document stated. Vick could be sentenced to up to five years in prison.

Its kind of odd that they make such a big deal about Vick and nothing is done about the murdering Nazi scum that invaded Iraq.

Wow...some of the long-absent white posters appear..(in the Michael Vick thread) of course. Interesting that these devils didn't show up in the David Copperfield RAPE thread to call an alleged (or actual) RAPIST is a monster. Interesting that these devils didn't show up in the BLACKWATER MURDERING INNOCENT IRAQI CIVILIAN threads to tell us how SAVAGE their fellow devils are.

There's NO HOPE for this monster. He can apologize, look sad and say all the right things, in the hopes of salvaging what's left of his pathetic life, but reality is that he is has shown he has serious issues.

Bad Nez Kennels would be fighting and killing dogs TODAY if he hadn't been caught!! Does anyone really believe that Vick would have suddenly come forward to admit guilt for his part in the dogfighting business and killing of those animals, and spoke out against dogfighting if he wasn't caught red-handed???

If he has such a conscience, why did it go on for so many years, and was stopped ONLY when he got caught. Vick is done as far as I'm concerned..no matter what he does now. The damage is done!!!

Animals are smart, a lot smarter than most people and THEY HAVE RIGHTS and they will be Protected from 'Stupid' humans. THAT you can bank on. I have nothing but total disrespect for those who harm any animals. Vick committed a Felony. He is a high profile person, a celeb so the media made a big deal over that, but I assure any of you there are many people sitting in prison right now for animal abuse!

Wouldn't it be great if Americans cared as much about their soldiers as they do their dogs??

What's immoral isn't killing two dozen, or 200 dogs.

What's immoral is killing 650,000 Iraqi civilians in an unprovoked, immoral, illegal war started on pure lies.

America has lost its common sense.

Turning himself in early is a good first step.

Hopefully when he gets out, he will have learned from this experience and start using his status to help others, much like many other sports figures such as Shaun Alexander or Shaquille O' Neal.

We all make mistakes...but only some of us learn from them.

Here's hoping Vick can turn this negative into a positive for all concerned.

This might be the first good move Vick has made in a long time. Shows some humility, no? He's ready to take what's coming and not whine and hide till the last second.

I'm thinking he could turn his life around, after all. Good luck, Mr. Vick. I'm still hoping you'll get a decent-lengthed sentence and have to serve at least a year, but I'll be hoping you become an advocate of doing away with this awful practice.

What a damn shame! This guy really had it all but he
gave it up for his baser instincts and very bad friends.
