I've been catching up on the really old shows from the late '90's at The Daily Show's website and it's interesting to see how much more actual "news" they reported, compared to the networks of that time. If you don't have the link yet, here it is:

Hey, I'm an X pat in Scotland and I'm going through Jon Daily withdrawl DAILY. Can you imagine all the sweet stuff building up. Gonna be fun when the dust settles. Americas on the cusp of great change, one way or another.

This is fairly stupid. Both of these programs are based on current events. Who the hey wants to watch old news? Under the Bush crime family watch, I am sure most of us would like to forget it asap.
But keep the faith, the Bush crime family screws up weekly so we will have something new to ridicule when the strike ends. Just a different name on the outed gay or pedophile.

I wish they would work this thing out,I miss The Daily Show and Colbert.

The ONLY reason I'm paying attention to the strike at all is to see when TDS will be back. Will it survive - oh yea.
Not only will it survive it will flourish.
I still turn the channel at 11 o'clock - only to be disappointed.
Can't wait until this thing is resolved.

It's amazing that there is no news when the writers are on strike.

Yeah, and I bet "Laugh In" reruns wouldn't do so hot, either. Current affairs shows don't do so well when the topics they're lampooning aren't on most peoples' front burner anymore.

As soon as the writers are back, the viewers will be back. With all the major news media whoring for the Republicrats, where else can you find out what's really going on?
