AP:

Iraqi journalists and international advocacy groups warned Tuesday that prosecuting an Associated Press photographer held for more than 19 months without charge is a worrisome precedent that threatens media freedom in the region.

I see you Liberals are rallying around another potential enemy of America. You guys seem to have a habit of that don't you. I am just glad the NYT did not get a copy of the map that helped the surge to work so well. If they had, just like in the past they would have published it and tipped of America's enemies and you Liberals would have cheered.

Imagine if they had behaved like that in WWII the headlines would have read. Secret Lab discovered in desert to build big bomb, see map and names of all the scientist.

If this guy is guilty I say shoot the bastard and record it, then send it to Al Jazera or the NYT (one and the same).

At least this news photographer can enjoy Freedomâ„¢ while being held prisoner and possibly tortured by US occupation forces led by the great decider, George W. Bush.

Long live Freedomâ„¢ of the press!

Exporting terrorism I would say, if you held a journalist for that long without any charges only means what it is coming to us here in the US.

Bush is a fascists alike Hitler and for that matter his idol.

Well, my fellow americans, any one can stand up for his rights? I think not! We are a bunch of cowards.

At least this photog is still alive! Not so the scores of other media folks the US Military purposely targeted and expunged in Iraq! Hey but they were patriotically protecting the Bush Oil Bandits right?
