White House press secretary Dana Perino said it wasn't clear what McClellan meant in the excerpt. "The president has not and would not ask his spokespeople to pass on false information," she said.

Plame issued a statement saying the opposite.

"I am outraged to learn that former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan confirms that he was sent out to lie to the press corps," Plame said. "Even more shocking, McClellan confirms that not only Karl Rove and Scooter Libby told him to lie but Vice President Cheney, presidential Chief of Staff Andrew Card and President Bush also ordered McClellan to issue his misleading statement."

Why are there so many repeat posts? Man, I wish this forum would go to a numerical format. It takes way too long to find our posts and/or replies.

So?
What's the big story on CNN., MSNBC., CBS., NBC., --oh, forget FOX.
The re-arrest of students allegedly involved in the dissaperarance of another student two years ago in Aruba.
So, what you think is news - isn't.
The fact that McClellan lied about blowing the cover of a CIA agent, surfaced briefly, then died.
Back to the daily White House briefings by Dana Perino who will shake her head, presumably bewildered that one of her predecessors would make such a claim that the president knew about the retaliation against Plame's husband - Wilson.
Head shaking, hand waving, strained looks, and an impossible media that has been turning its head since this administration took control of the country, and its people.
Ah, what the hell, Bush spared a turkey.
So, who cares, if gas is almost four bucks a gallon, heating oil is out of sight, our dollar is shrunk? We, and our pets are being poisoned by Chinese imports? Who cares that most of our industry is offshore, overseas - free of taxes - gone forever? Who cares that we are embedded in the Middle East in a war without end, that Border Patrol agents are pulling ten in the pen' for going after a drug smuggler? Illegal aliens are enjoying full benefits without having to raise their hands? And, we're just around recession bend?

This is a day to give thanks to all the lies that have helped in making the surge a success and that will provide aid in the defeat of Islamofascism.

What surprises me is that some people seem to be surprised. Of course Cheney/Rove were involved in the treason. We knew that. They undoubtedly told W what to say, as well. Back then, especially, Bush was the puppet with Cheney at the strings. He may have been "misled," but that is also his crime, if true. So why is anyone surprised?

Beerholder wrote earlier that McClellan may not have known he was party to a lie. BULLSHIT! Beerholder, I respect most of what you write, but this is capitulation. I know from what you've written in the past that your momma taught you right from wrong, and so did my momma. McClellan is a liar, pure and simple. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial.

As it is wont to do, the truth eventually comes out. Any one surprised by this news have been in a coma the last seven years.

This is how the wingers are spinning it:

http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/11/21/ex-aides-book-may-clear-bush-in-cia-leak/?hp

After a day of wide coverage and swift reactions on the Web, the publisher, Peter Osnos of PublicAffairs, told MSNBC that Mr. McClellan "did not intend to suggest Bush lied to him" about two senior aides" roles in leaking the identity of Valeria Plame Wilson, a C.I.A. operative, to the conservative columnist Robert Novak and others in 2003.

How does that square with the book excerpt, where Mr. McClellan wrote that "the President himself" was "involved" in his offering false information to the press about the leak? Mr. Osnos offered an explanation to Bloomberg News:

"He told him something that wasn"t true, but the president didn"t know it wasn"t true,'" Osnos said in a telephone interview. "The president told him what he thought to be the case.

Yeah, Mr. Osnos, you go with that story. It just makes your side look as pathetic as they really are.

Justice in this country is dead. Democracy is in its last throws. The American voter will decide where to go from here.

Choose wisely in 08 or the American dream is toast. That goes for everyone.

Why were the Neo Con U.S. Supreme Court Justices emplaced? Who deregulated the Neo Con owned Conglomerates and relaxed the rules governing them? And who received campaign contributions from the Conglomerates? Where do we draw the line on the same Conflict of Interest and Collusion Smalltown USA has to adhere to, that is being committed by these Republican and Democratic Legislator's?
These Corrupted and Corpulant Neo Con owned Conglomerates, the Republican and Democratic Legislators who are rewarding their financial Neo Con benefactors with Contracts and Tax Breaks worth millions, billions and tens of billions of American Taxpayer dollars..
Are aided and abetted by the Neo Con Lawyers, Prosecutors and Judges who replaced the Politically fired Non Partisan Lawyers, Prosecutors and Judges... And Further aided and abetted by the Neo Con United States Supreme Court Justices who themselves are Morally and Legally Corrupted..
These Treasonous Neo Cons are robbing the United States Treasury to the tune of 10 trillion American Taxpayer dollars we owe in deficits to the likes of China and Saudi Arabia. The Neo Con Conglomerates are moving their financial assets overseas and when we crash.. Baby we're going to crash!
It's past time to Impeach and to go directly to removing ALL Neo con Parasites infesting the Executive Branch and Any Republican and Democratic Legislators who crossed the line with Conflict of Interest and Collusion..
After which we have to begin charging these Neo Con Parasites with High Treason!

This is it. This is the test. Will our government represent us and deal once and for all with the truth about the so called leadership of our country? I do not care if Bush has one minute left to be President, he must be impeached and investigated for his crimes. No one is above the law but if the law is not enforced then there is no law.

IMPEACH NOW!

you got to love this:

McClellan writes, "I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest-ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice president, the president's chief of staff and the president himself."
White House press secretary Dana Perino said it wasn't clear what McClellan meant in the excerpt.

how could McClellen be any more clear about who was involved??

McCLELLEN IS READY TO BRING DOWN BUSH

and if you ask me, Libby is flippable.

there is no doubt that he is pissed that he was left to be the fallguy -- I know we could sell him on the "restore your honor" angle.

McClellen and Libby could be the duo that eventually... someday... brings these SOBs -- WITH W. IN THE LEAD -- to some sort of justice -- before the almighty done has his way them, praise be.
