Campaigning through Northern Nevada today, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul picked up the enthusiastic support of Nevada brothel owner Dennis Hof.

After sitting through a 20-minute press conference with Paul, Hof vowed to put up a collection box outside the door of his Moonlight Bunny Ranch brothel to take up contributions for the candidate who he says, "Makes a lot of sense, doesn't he?"

"I'll do it today," he said. "I'll get all the Bunnies together and we can raise him some money. I'll put up a collection box outside the door. They can drop in $1 dollar, $5 dollar contributions. What a great way for the working girls to support Ron Paul. It's just the right thing to do."

Paul's campaign was surprised to see Hof, flanked by two prostitutes, emerge from a limousine outside of Lawlor Events Center this morning. They arrived with MSNBC journalist Tucker Carlson, who has been traveling with Paul for a piece he's writing for the New Republic.

Wouldn't it be nice if GalPal actually answered questions about Paul's positions, instead of attacking the questioners?

Ron Paul is advocating we dismantle a US government corrupted special interest lobbies (left & right), and let the states handle all duties not assigned the Feds under the Constitution. Very radical idea, but I remember how the states handled integration until the Feds stepped in. Rather than dismantle the gov. I would have a constitutionalist like Kucinich fix it (if it can be fixed) -- and dismantle it only as a last resort. Rather than have the big-money oligarchy control the US government, and the American Empire exploiting the world, I would let Ron Paul dismantle it. As usual, it's always about the lesser of the evils.

I thought this was the most interesting interactive I have come across.
It needs time to be played with.
Answer ALL the candidates questions and what you would support.(please be honest)

At the end you may use the bar at the bottom to compare one week to the next.
It is AWESOME to see the consistent"green" color for Dr. Paul. It starts off green and remains consistently green throughout, only getting "greener"!!!!
Follow this link to find out what Im talking about and prepare to spend some time.
It is quite interesting.

Ron Paul

To the Editor

I read Mona Charen"s column on Friday and I had to clear a few things up. Outside of the name-calling ("kook," as I"m sure you remember, was the attack word of choice used by critics of Barry Goldwater), Charen was way off base.

1. Dr. Paul"s commitment to principle is second to none, so to attack him, Charen twists the understanding of what a presidential pardon really is. A pardon is a constitutional check by the executive branch on the judiciary to protect against cruel or unusual punishment. When considering a pardon, a president examines extenuating circumstances to decide whether a punishment for a conviction under the law was unjust. Scooter Libby was convicted of a crime; that is not the issue here. Dr. Paul is not sympathetic to issuing him a pardon because he finds Libby an unsympathetic character. There is nothing inconsistent here. President Bush, who has issued the fewest pardons of any president since World War II, hasn"t pardoned Libby either, by the way.

2. If Charen paid much attention to the campaign, she would know that Dr. Paul never utters the word "isolationist" except to explain why he is not one. He believes in the foreign policy of the founders: peace, commerce, and open friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none. When he references Nixon and Eisenhower, he is clearly talking about past successful Republican campaign strategies, not what they did in office. Eisenhower campaigned to end the Korean War, Nixon to get us out of Vietnam. Dr. Paul argues that the GOP can only win in 2008 with a candidate who will bring hope troops form Iraq. Last I checked, many National Review readers cared a thing or two about Republicans winning elections.

Ron Paul has NO CHANCE of winning!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's the truth. The presidential election is a popularity contest, plain and simple. Ron Paul is just not very popular!

The bottom line is that he does not have the numbers to win the Republican nomination!

In order to win, he has to win primary contests that are happening 10-11 short weeks from now, and a large majority of the country has never heard his name before! No chance!

I welcome his ideas on many of the issues (military withdrawal, ending the war on drugs, repealing NAFTA and the PATRIOT act, etc.). It's nice to hear these ideas being brought up in Republican debates.

But come February 6th, once Guiliani (or maybe Romney) sews up the nomination, Ron Paul will fade back into the obscurity that the media has kept him in.

I know the media owners are threatened by his views, but they also don't report on him much because he is a minor candidate with no realistic chance of winning. Sorry.

"Nevada Brothel Owner Pimps for Ron Paul"

As usual, the media misleads and sensationalizes to attract readers. This may be my last day for Huffington. I am constantly disappointed by your suggesting that good people have gone bad and it's all for your numbers.

And this site is supposed to be about truth and clarity in the news?

As far as the ****ing contests that some of you are having, shame on you. Go play in the street.

Misconstrue:

While viewing the link you provided I found this juicy little tid bit:

Could you please explain the use of your word sciencing in the context you used it in below?

Look at how this unsuspecting Huffpo user gets "jumped" by Misconstrue2.
Not only does it question this other persons credibilities but watch how ignorant it is to the English language as well.

This guy wasnt even talking to you. Then you attacked his credentials. The whole time, used wording and phrasing that makes no sense and is not even correct english!
Dont you feel stupid?
You chased this guy away.
He hasnt been back on since...I checked.

He did not even respond to you.

This, I will submit, is the true educated response.

Behold the ignorance of its vicious retorts when threatened by a colleagues knowledge on its home turf!!

dsbsh said:

"As a political scientist who knows how to follow a hyperlink (http://www.apsanet.org/section_279.cfm), I can report that your "correction" regarding the Kammerer prize is trivial to the point of being embarrassing:

What's more, you're responding to a blog, not a treatise. That he didn't quote Madison is beside the point. As a political scientist, I'm sure you're aware that the literature on constitutional meaning and the framers' intent is extensive. If you disagree with Stone (and/or Bailyn), explain your disagreement; pointing your finger and saying "liberal" demeans the profession."

.

Misconstrue2's unsolicited ignorant retort:

And I quote:

"As a fellow political scientist, I am wondering what you did with your political sciencing degree.

Are you perhaps a number cruncher?

A high school teacher?"

Now,
would you please explain the use of "political sciencing degree?"

"Sciencing" is not even a word!

Dont you feel stupid questioning someone else, when you, yourself, butcher the English language the way you do?
Did you not find it odd he did not even respond to you?
How can you be so nasty to someone when they are what they say and you obviously are NOT?

WTF?

First I would like to state that I copied this from Mislead2s profile.

Has anyone confirmed this over the years it has been here posting, expecting people to believe it?

Also, the following first alleged reference is wrong.
"Magna Cum Laude" is wrong. and this should be called out.

The term should not be capitalized and is written wrong as is.
Makes one wonder why all first letters are capitalized. Infact this whole resume seems to be in PEACOCK formation!
HMMMMM?

The correct way would be "magna cum laude".
Political science also should not be capitalized.

Has anyone confirmed this?
Ron Paul wants to know.
He finds this extremely unbelievable!

What a cheap attempt by this site to smear Ron Paul. He stands for the constitution, period. He is the only one besides Kucinich I will even consider voting for this election. The other canidates will simply maintain the status quo. I'd rather stay at home than have to choose between Hillary and Guliani.

This is news?

Someone who runs a legal whorehouse prefers a vocally libertarian candidate? And we're surprised, or what?

Note that this article is not: "Ron Paul Backs Nevada Brothel Owner"--it's the other way around. Don't be so f'ing cheap, HuffPo.

So far Paul is the only candidate to bring up
in the debates:

The 9 trillion$ debt. The real cost of the GWOT.
The illegal invasion of Iraq.
The attacks on the constitution and separation
of powers by the Bush Administration.
The 40% loss in the value of the dollar under the Bush Administration.
The potential end of the Dollar as the global reserve currency and what that will mean to all Americans.

So for stating a clear policy on those issues
the MSM, Dem's, Neocon's and Repub's are running overtime trying to paint Paul as a NUT, White Supremacist, John Bircher. Tucker must snickering in his Ovaltine right about now over the Pimp for Ron Paul line.

Would you rather hear Hillary asked whether she likes diamonds or pearls? Or how she is going to give us Universal Health Insurance?
Hear how Benito will whup those terrists's cause he can protect us?
The so called debates are just a scripted bunch of BS.

Whatever Ron Paul is, he is doing us a service in talking about those issues the other candidates are not going to bring up cause they cant offend their corporate owners.

EXCUSE ME:

I posted a comment questioning Misconstrue2's profile.
Has anyone seen it?
It was there a few minutes ago.
I cant find it..
Is it gone?
Deleted?
How?
It was only there for three hours.

How could it disappear so fast?

All I wanted to know is if someone could please confirm the educational and political experience Misinform2 makes in its profile.
Why is that wrong?

Arent profiles there to be presented and viewed?
I had its whole entire profile posted and now its gone...
Left with not even a link....

Oh wait.....
Heres one, now...

There are two Ron Paul dollars to anyone who can deliver proof this profile is legit!

The Puritanical sex-conflicted bigots titllated over "pimping" might be interested to know that both St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine were, considering human nature, in favor of prostitution. (Summan Theologica, 2.a -2ae 8-16) I wonder how many young men would be better off to have, as it has been said, their "ashes hauled" before they date someone's daughter?

I'd like to know who the joker is on the HuffPo staff that chooses the worst photos of Ron Paul s/he can find to publish. Also, the editorial choice of the smear pieces chosen for this blog. www.ronpaulforpresident2008.com has got the biggest array of media articles on Ron Paul I've ever seen. This is where you can get a good sense of where Paul's campaign is at any given moment and also see who's written what about him (although I doubt this smear piece will grace its web pages)

Isn't it a shame that the only candidate who would support prostitution is Ron Paul, a libertarian who doesn't know when enough is enough. There are plenty of libertarian issues that could benefit all of us, especially after the Bush mob. Freedom of speech is a biggie. Freedom to visit a prostitute is related. How about legalization of Marijuana? I could go on.

We, as Americans, are concerned about our freedoms. So are libertarians. However, the libertarians would just as soon see you die because you can't afford insurance. Libertarians would be happy to ignore initiatives like stem cell research and space travel, not for "moral" reasons, but for philosophical reasons. Survival of the fittest and all.

Libertarians believe in small government. Not a bad thing, but they, like most Americans, don't understand that Government is simply an instrument to perform the will of the people. We, the people, have simply gotten lazy and let government do what bureaucrats want, not the citizens of this land.

I'm a Democrat, no Ron Paul supporter, and I think this is definetly not a big deal. This guy is no more sleazy than any of the oil people who give Republicans money on a regular basis. I have a much bigger problem, as others have mentioned, with Ron Pauls past bigoted statements and support he gets from racists.
