Nevada Brothel Owner Pimps for Ron Paul

Campaigning through Northern Nevada today, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul picked up the enthusiastic support of Nevada brothel owner Dennis Hof.

After sitting through a 20-minute press conference with Paul, Hof vowed to put up a collection box outside the door of his Moonlight Bunny Ranch brothel to take up contributions for the candidate who he says, "Makes a lot of sense, doesn't he?"

"I'll do it today," he said. "I'll get all the Bunnies together and we can raise him some money. I'll put up a collection box outside the door. They can drop in $1 dollar, $5 dollar contributions. What a great way for the working girls to support Ron Paul. It's just the right thing to do."

Paul's campaign was surprised to see Hof, flanked by two prostitutes, emerge from a limousine outside of Lawlor Events Center this morning. They arrived with MSNBC journalist Tucker Carlson, who has been traveling with Paul for a piece he's writing for the New Republic.

Hmm...the more stories about RonPaul I see, whether here on Huffpo or anywhere else, I see that he's always characterized as some sort of oddball and within a paragraph or two I discover a guy who has an open mind but not so open his brains fall out.
In contrast with the main-stream candidates who I see propose any number of ridiculously complex schemes that all seem to revolve around a more deeply involved federal beaurocracy or program which has little chance of actually accomplishing what it was designed to do, short of acting as a silver platter from the common food trough delivers the choice morsels over to the sty where the biggest, loudest and most prize pigs reside.
Ron Paul, on the other hand, has shown some light into the dark corners of the process and guess who we see there, hiding from the brightness, stunned by attention and furiously grasping about for some shred of dignity as they're being caught red-handed in hypocracy and de-facto subversion of the consitution for an increase in personal power. Who'd blame 'em? It's become a recognized path to celebrity and wealth, sadly.

How is this headline offensive or incorrect? Hof is a legal Pimp, he is using legal prostitutes to raise money. The reason they support Paul is b/c his stand on prostitution.

Ron Paul's position, as I understand it, is as follows:

Abortion is a legal or illegal medical procedure which is properly regulated to each State (which, by the way is exactly what was stated in Roe vs. Wade). I also believe that Dr.Paul feels that this decision should be one between a woman and her doctor...b­ased on their individual conscience and beliefs.

If anything, Dr. Paul supports a woman's "right to choose", as he supports a "doctor's right to choose". And, he correctly places the PRIVILEGE of making legislation regarding this RIGHT in the hands of the STATE, not the Federal govt.

Normally, I respect your choice of headlines, but this one makes me wonder if you are also being seduced by the MSM (mainstream media) who want to paint Ron Paul as some kind of anomaly to the legitimate political process. Why don't you highlight all the hardworking mothers and fathers, grandparents and college kids who are supporting Ron Paul and are out there every spare minute they have getting the message out for Ron Paul.

My problem with Paul is when I read up on his position on all of the issues that affect Americans, I see repression as the ultimate result. I love how Libertarians claim to be strick constitutionalists, yet they fail to note the the Founding Fathers saw the Constitution as a DYNAMIC, living document, not a stagnant legal pleading.
