I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Tom Cruise Will Smith

From a Men's Vogue profile on Will Smith:

"I've studied Buddhism and Hinduism and I've studied Scientology through Tom. And nobody's saying anything different! Look, I use the Bible to explain the ideas of God, and life, and love, and relationships, and the life of Jesus Christ to teach my children how to defend their spirit. But in all of the experiences I've had with Tom [Cruise] and Scientology, like, 98 percent of the principles are identical to the principles of the Bible. The Bible says, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And you know, there's a Scientology principle: Do not create experiences for others that they cannot comfortably perceive." Smith would rather stroll many paths to enlightenment than commit to one high road. "The Bible talks about your spirit being immortal, that you were created for existence beyond your physical body. Well, that's no different from Scientology! I don't think that because the word someone uses for spirit is thetan that the definition becomes any different."

You are right there Will. It sure has help Laughing Boy's career. You can't pay people to go to a Tom Cruise movie.

Good thing you have made all the money you will ever need because once you start shilling for Scientology chances are you too will end up as box office poison.

When you see Scientologists, do what the knights did in the Holy Grail did...

RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!

To be sure, these beliefs are bizarre, irrational, and based on unproved and unprovable tenets. In this respect they are exactly like any other religion.

OH Will, we hardly knew ye.

Sometimes I think the ultrawealthy stars and even those who are moderately wealthy get bored and try to find something else to preocupy their time with and the cult of scamology is waiting like the spider for the fly.

It's a total scam and nothing else. If the stars were to ever see how The cult of scamology treated the lower level of peons they would be appalled (I hope).

The cult of scamology is pure evil.

All the more reason to tax religion!

Thanks to Jello Biafra for saying that in the first place.

Why did Scientology lose their law suit against Time magazine when it call them "a cult of greed and power....a mafia like organization....a huge global racket"?

I don't know about scientology except it attract the hyper ambitious/insecure young 'adults' with a lot of $$ to throw at info that is free from the Universe.
....but i love that bible story about jesus going to heaven....with his robes....that is so cool....to be reunited with his dad.....it's such a beautiful tale....no wonder it has been drilled into children for 2000 years....boffo.

Some claim that all critics have not read about Scientology. I've read and study about the organization for 10 years. In 1991 Time magazine called them "a cult of greed and power...that operates in a mafial like fashion....that is a huge global racket". They sued Time for $415 million.....and lost. Enough said.

Ron Hubbard is widely rumored to have said "The way to make a million
dollars is to start a religion."

As for Will Smith's claim that the Bible and Scientology are similar, comparisons are odious.

And Lo, the aliens came down, and said unto themselves:
Let us leave a bible, and it was so
Let us leave a hidden meaning, for future scientologists, and it was so
Then the aliens, seeing it was good, left.
Thus became what is known as mythology, superstition, biggotry and prejudice, and some thought that was good, and gave their monies.
So keep on home schooling. No one to correct your mistakes, I guess.

"Do not create experiences for others that they cannot comfortably perceive," is nothing but psychobabble that makes me uncomfortable to perceive.

Regarding the picture accompanying this article, Will Smith with his arm on the diminutive Tom Cruise's shoulder. For quite a while now Tom has been wearing this hairdo. I first noticed it in publicity shots of him while he was shooting his new nazi inspired movie. Just asking but doesn't that hairdo remind you of Hitler, minus the stache of course?
