President Bush yesterday offered his strongest support of embattled Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, saying the general "hasn't crossed the line" and "truly is somebody who believes in democracy."

Bush spoke nearly three weeks after Musharraf declared emergency rule, sacked members of the Supreme Court and began a roundup of journalists, lawyers and human rights activists. Musharraf's government yesterday released about 3,000 political prisoners, although 2,000 remain in custody, according to the Interior Ministry.

The comments, delivered in an interview with ABC News anchor Charles Gibson, contrasted with previous administration statements -- including by Bush himself -- expressing grave concern over Musharraf's actions. In his first public comments on the crisis two weeks ago, Bush said his aides bluntly warned Musharraf that his emergency measures "would undermine democracy."

Why would anyone doubt that a military dictator is a strong believer in democracy?

Oh, yeah: Functioning brain cells!

This coming from a man that has destroyed democracy in this country, and has called the constitution just a peice of paper. I somehow do not think that Musharaff believes in anything other then being a dictator, much like the decider Bush.

Bush sez: Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf "truly is somebody who believes in democracy."

President George W. Bush has developed an amazing new capability. He is the first President of the United States who speaks directly from his rectum.

He belongs in a circus.

Soon after Musharraf declared martial law I knew it would be only a matter of a short time and bush would be praising him.

Oh no, Musharraf hasn't crossed any lines at all.

Bush has never met a fellow dictator that he didn't "love", well, maybe NOT Chavez, but that's because Chavez wants to hog the ball....
The pathological liar in the US white house has not the slightest idea of what "democracy" is and would not recognize it if it walked up and hit him in the face....and His "PAKI-BUDDY" is just like himself, soooo, what the %$#* else is new?
And now Scott McClellan has denounced BUSH, CHENEY, LIBBY, ROVE AND CARD as being in the conspiracy to OUT Mrs. Wilson, so the question is now, "How come Pelosi has not yet started IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS against these OATH BREAKING MISCREANTS"?

"Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to "recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:" George Washington 1789

I didn't know Georgie Boy very well when he was installed as #43 by the Supreme Court. Somehow he seemed to be nicer than his father. I soon discovered that his intellect was not his strong suit, and later discovered that I had underestimated his intellectual impairment. He was learning disabled, and furthermore had become learning averse as well. This meant he was not only stupid but woefully ignorant as well. Soon it became apparent that he was also arrogant as well. The I knew we were fucked. Stupid, ignorant and arrogant.

In addition to this rather maladaptive, perverse and disturbing mixture of personality traits, he believed that he had been called by the Lord to be President. He spoke a lot about the Lord and this got a lot of good folks intoxicated with religious zeal and hope. He blamed the horrific attack on the WTC on Islamofacists and stated that Saddam Hussein was behind it, and that he had terrible weapons that could destroy us, and ignored intelligence to the contrary. He began telling grandiose lies. He sanctioned torture against many who were presumed guilty and denied them civil liberties, and then he took away some of ours. Rarely can one find examples of how men who are simultaneously stupid, ignorant, mean, arrogant and finally crazy who rise to such enormous power. This man who used to be an alcoholic has substituted power for booze. And it is high time we put him on the wagon. The paddy wagon. Giordy

Bush is a liar and the only thing he might say that would be worth quoting would be a confession as to all of the lies he has already told us. He is no judge of character and what makes him think anyone cares what he thinks about anyone? Delusional!

Remember, to Mr. Bush, "democracy" = his specific brand of rich, white, elitist theocracy.

Is General Musharraf really a wealthy, evangelical Bushie and we didn't know it??

Bush has his own definition of "democracy."

His administration said Americans need to redefine "privacy."

His supporters want to redefine science.
