Shortly after news of the McClellan excerpt broke, Politico caught up with Judith Miller and Matthew Cooper, two reporters who received information about Valerie Plame's identity and were caught up in the subsequent legal proceedings.

"You're only as good as your sources," Miller, who was a reporter at the New York Times when the imbroglio broke, said with a mischievous laugh.

Miller, now an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute, spent 85 days in jail by not revealing her source. "Nothing surprises me about Washington during this administration anymore," she said.

So far the only person to do jail time over L'affair Plame. Let's hope that changes.

Yeah, Judy... and Denial is also a river in Egypt.

Just another BushCo shill and war crimes enabler, now cashing in on her "service" to America.

Are her classes limited to the learning-challenged?

I think the word "mischievous" is better applied to kids stealing cookies before dinner, not people who are complicit in treason.

The only time Judith Miller should laugh is when she looks at herself in the mirror. What a shameless journalist hack.

"You're only as good as your sources"

So, are the wingnut bloggers now applying the same standard to Dan Rather and apologize to him?

Don't tell me, the usual uber-hypocritical standard applies...

The NYT has no stomach for bloggers. They really don't care what their readers think, they want to do the thinking for them. Only Judith Miller and her ilk have made that concept impossible and totally unrealistic. Keep after the Times, hold them accountable.

What a joke. You know your source is a liar and you still don't do the hard work of confirming and confirming again. On something like the outing of a CIA agent! RUFKM?????
What the hell is going on in this country? Since when does ANY administration get to run roughshod over basic decency AND the laws of the land and get the media to assist them like this?
Judith Miller should be tried for treason. She's got blood on her hands.

As a reporter, you have to have a nose for the news and the truth. She has neither. Her only apparatus used in her accounts of the lead up to the war were mouthwash and knee pads.

No, you're only as good as your ability to put your sources in context, including any reason to believe that they might be misrepresenting the truth.

For instance, if your source at the White House says, "Of course, the administration has obeyed all laws and done nothing wrong," then your story should note that this is exactly what they would say if they were covering up any wrongdoing.

If journalists are only as good as their sources, then our democracy is only as good as the assumption that politicians always tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

So God help us!

And this is a "revelation" how? Did anyone really believe them before?

Miller, "You're only as good as your sources,"

And when your sources are liars and perjurers, that makes you what Judith?

Another vapid megalomaniac smirking into history. What a quaint notion 'accountability' has become.

As she said with a "mischievous" laugh?

This traitorous B*tch, who betrayed not only her profession, but the American people and this whole country thinks this is a laughing matter?

She should be thrown in jail with the rest of the White House members present and past, who had anything to do with this unbelievable breach of law...only one of the many this criminal gang has broken with impunity.

The rest of us are crying Judy, and if you think this is funny you're one sick and deluded person!

Does anyone care what Judith Miller has to say? About anything?
