Natalee Holloway's Father Relaunches Search For Her Remains After 3 Suspects Re-Arrested

The father of missing American teenager Natalee Holloway will relaunch a search for evidence of her remains in waters off Aruba, he said Thursday after police re-arrested three suspects in her 2005 disappearance.

While authorities searched the sea to depths of 330 feet, Dave Holloway told The Associated Press that he believes his 18-year-old daughter was thrown into deeper waters -- a belief based on talks with a police official and a private forensic expert.

iknow, i know.......that this girl got into a car with 3 guys she picked up in bar, in a foriegn country, has no bearing on what MAY have happened to her.....she was stupid, probably drunk, but in no way is to blame for the actions of her possible aggresors....but isn't this why parents hopefully teach their daughters the pitfalls of drinking etc..

Most Americans don't know is that under the law in Aruba, anybody who is brought in for questioning is "under arrest". Being arrested doesn't have the same legal weight there as it does here.

At the risk of sounding insensitive, I just don't see why this particular case needed to dominate the national news for as long as it did.

Literally thousands of people in the US go missing every year. What made this case so uniquely newsworthy over all the others?

It doesn't matter that she got into a car with someone she didn't know, they had no right to try to rape her or kill her.
