USA Today :

At least 20,000 U.S. troops who were not classified as wounded during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan have been found with signs of brain injuries, according to military and veterans records compiled by USA TODAY.

The data, provided by the Army, Navy and Department of Veterans Affairs, show that about five times as many troops sustained brain trauma as the 4,471 officially listed by the Pentagon through Sept. 30. These cases also are not reflected in the Pentagon's official tally of wounded, which stands at 30,327.

Support the troops!

Make up phony reasons to go to war, send them without armour or training and then hide it when they are killed or injured.

But don't forget your flag pin!

Why bother to report them?

Republicans are just gonna demand their signing 'bonuses' back and then stick them in rat and mould infested hospitals to languish anyway.

Mental health is a serious issue. We send them to fight and we leave them behind. Our troops are not taken care of when they return. Hillary has a healthplan that will ensure that our brave troops have the care they so desperatley need.

They may as well add this number to the unreported 100 million or so US citizens who voted for Bush ?Cheney and the Neocons.

Not to mention Lieberman.

If you don't impeach, you may as well start contemplating a break up of the country.

Asking our military to accomplish what cannot be accomplished militarily is anti-military.

Republicans have shown over and over and over again that they don't give a shit about the military. Republicans don't give a shit about how many of our soldiers get killed or injured.

All that Bush and Cheney care about is oil for US corporations and profits for defense contractors.

All that the rest of Republicans do is blindly support their depraved leaders so they can hold on to power.

That's what the modern Republican Party and the Right Wing of America has become. They are left with no ideals, no morality, no conscience - just blind support for their corrupt leaders.

"Support the Troops" means "Support Bush".

"God Bless America" means "God Save Bush's Ass"

“God Bless the Troops” means “Let the Troops Die A Miserable Death For Oil Companies”

"Or, is it the anti-war Liberals who want to stop unnecessary injury and death of our soldiers, and bring them home?"

I know I know.

It's the anti-war anti-military Liberals who never supported the military in their pathetic political existence unless it was to deliver meals on wheels to hurricane victims.

It's the anti-war anti-military Liberals who need to do anything they can to prevent a stable Iraq for the sake of their political survival.

Who is more anti-military?

Republicans who sent our military to somehow win an un-winnable "war" for the benefit of US oil corporations?

Or, is it the anti-war Liberals who want to stop unnecessary injury and death of our soldiers, and bring them home?

Who is more anti-military?

In the early years of the Republican wars the number of US casualties that were being flow into to the military hospital in Ramstein, Germany far exceeded the number of casualties that were reported on the evening news. I kept asking why, but could not get an answer from anybody.

If you lived through the Viet Nam war, this was an all too familiar scenario where the nightly news would report "11 thousand viet cong killed today and one American wounded."

We have been lied to before, we are being lied to now. It is time for a change in Washington DC. We do not need another president who is a lying bag of dirt. No Clintons need apply.

Support our troops by hiding their injuries and denying them care.

That is the American way. If you do otherwise, you are un-American.

God bless the troops.

Slice and dice the facts to diminish their real impact is the Bush/Cheney way of fooling the American public.

It is surprising USAToday allowed this info to be published. This information nearly doubles the number of those loyal and trusting troops seriously damaged by the criminal pursuit for the control of natural resources within another sovereign country.

The trolls are already trying to refute and pettyfog this article. What do these traitors expect to gain from their foul efforts? Openly supporting acts of treason is a crime.

There is no way that these injuries should have gone unreported, there must be accountability somehwere.

One would have thought an investment on Wall Street in 'nails' would have brought about some unbelievable profit potential. Never before in the history of America, have so many nails been put into a coffin, and yet no corpse was laid to rest (figuratively speaking of course). Bush can do and say anything, and his GOP Repugnants along with the do nothing Dems just keep following along, not daring to stop this tragedy. The question for the Presidential bid, who has the cohones to speak out now, and categorically say this President must be stopped? Of course nothing would be wrong with impeachment and if applicable branded as treasonous (see Plame) and as a war criminal (see death toll in Iraq). Will the electorate stand up or is all the moaning and groaning only on the net?

For those who question the information. Read the link on within the article on hidden wounds. Sheesh. Do I have to do everything for you?

Concussions are cumulative over a persons lifetime. They lead to a great increase in Parkinsons, Alzheimers and dementia. Even a so-called "minor" concussion leads to later problems, especially if one has a second or third concussion, which is highly probable in the Iraq occupation.

Guess who pays for the brain related problems these guys will undoubtedly have later in life?
