Girls Gone Wild Producer: I Was Abused In Jail

The millionaire producer of the "Girls Gone Wild" video series has accused guards of abusing him during his brief stay at an Oklahoma jail, a newspaper reported Friday.

Guards at the Grady County Law Enforcement Center denied Joe Francis food and blankets and threatened to strap him naked to a chair for 48 hours, Francis' attorneys alleged last month in court papers seeking his release on bail in a Florida case, The Oklahoman reported.

Wow, what a tremendous amount of spouting off about that which apparently so many know so little.

Pretty disappointing that so many here can just willfully suspend any semblance of innocence until proven guilty because they have a visceral aversion to the business Francis is in.

Francis started GGW in his mid-twenties after he got his first "hit" as a camera operator who aggregated a bunch of freaky and disturbing footage and packaging it as "Banned From TV". Apparently, amongst all the tapes he received with train wrecks and car accidents and such were a variety of "amateur" tapes of girls flashing, blah blah blah.

Francis said, "hey, I'm a young guy in my twenties and I know *I* like this. I bet there's a lot of guys like me who like this too" and GGW was born.

Fast forward to ten years later, when the franchise is a household name and you've got what he have here.

Just so you understand, I think the guy is a dick. I met him in Vegas and thought he was incredibly arrogant.

Doesn't mean he deserves to be railroaded by the feds or the local Florida crackers in Panama City.

As to the contention that he gets the girls drunk in order to exploit them. What utter bullshit. You are either deluding yourself or way too old and out of touch with what goes on at the clubs on South Beach or on Spring Break.

You don't have to like it, but you cannot pin the behavior on Francis.

He's being held because he is a flight risk. That is all. He ran from justice before, they're not going to let him do it again.He is also a repeat offender. If his record was clean I'd be the first to cry foul.

No conspiracy here. If they let him go he'll run. He has the money to get well beyond American Justice.

Abuse isn't having your blanky taken away. He lied in court before, so I have a hard time believing his allegations.

Folks, he's sitting in jail awaiting trial on a charge related to a complicated tax shelter idea recommended to him by accountants at a large, reputable accounting firm, not for filming underaged girls. Regardless of how much of a sleazebag we all may think he is, the fact is that he's been sitting in jail for months on a charge for which he has not yet been either tried or convicted. That should scare the hell out of all of us.

What's most disturbing about this report is the kind of hatred for Mr Francis based on what little we know about him and his being accused. Furthermore, those who evidently think that being sent to jail is a license to abuse those in jail even though they have not been found guilty. Guilty of being in disagreement with the IRS...he deserves a medal for that AND for pushing the noses of the sex-negative crown right into the result of their repressive attitude towards sexual behavior.
Mr Francis, you may be guilty of not paying enough to the bloodsucking IRS, but you've got my respect and I hope you use your position to help the nation come to a new understanding of the rights of individuals when they are incarcerated and that the abuse suffered while under the care of our law enforcement is not some sort of "serves you right" punnishment.

I love it, this scum is crying like a baby because jail is tough...I feel no sympathy for this sleezebag. I bet he is lying about being abused, but if he is getting abused, he deserves it. He gets young girls drunk or worse and takes advantage of them. Then makes millions off of exploiting them and doesn't want to pay taxes. He must be a Republiscum. I hope he rots in jail because that is where he and his kind belong.
