AP:

Conservative Prime Minister John Howard suffered a humiliating defeat Saturday at the hands of the left-leaning opposition, whose leader has promised to immediately sign the Kyoto Protocol on global warming and withdraw Australia's combat troops from Iraq.

Labor Party head Kevin Rudd's pledges on global warming and Iraq move Australia sharply away from policies that had made Howard one of President Bush's staunchest allies.

I am so "sorry" this chap lost but how will western civilization be able to defend itself against the invasion of the Islamofascist barbarian camel jockeys now ?

John Howard, Tony Blair and George W. Bush are the only Christ like politicans that could have saved the west from its own demise.

Oh on second thoughts may be not.

Looks like the whole world is waking up. Could peace and global security be on the horizon? Not while gay marriage is a possibility, you say? Probably right, excuse my myopic optimism.

So much for the "Coalition of the Willing"

Looks like we're stuck now with the "Coalition of the Billing" (Blackwater, Halliburton, etc.)

What's the cost up to now? An estimated 1.5 tril? Where's Paulie-boy Wolfowitz, I wanna hear again about the 50 bil price tag and how Iraqi oil will cover it. (I could use the laugh)

Bush is radioactive. The Brits had enough of their leadership sucking up to BushCo, now the Aussies throw them out too. Chimpy, your Coalition of the Willing doesnt look so willing anymore. The world is waking up to the fact that Bush is not a conservative, he's a fascist and they want nothing to do with it.

... and we don't get to toss out our eco-angry warmongers for another whole year.
I do wish our Constitution had that vote of no confidence thingie so we could had at least the opportunity to take earlier action. Really.
