AP:

Conservative Prime Minister John Howard suffered a humiliating defeat Saturday at the hands of the left-leaning opposition, whose leader has promised to immediately sign the Kyoto Protocol on global warming and withdraw Australia's combat troops from Iraq.

Labor Party head Kevin Rudd's pledges on global warming and Iraq move Australia sharply away from policies that had made Howard one of President Bush's staunchest allies.

Newsflash ... The Polish are leaving Iraq, and they're taking the gun with them.

...sorry, it had to be said.

Should Americans even be considered the coalition of the willing? The majority of Americans want us out of Iraq and this doesn't matter to the Chimp or even the Dem leadership. We are a coalition of hostages...and paying for our own incararation. Chimp is holding on waiting for Stockholm Syndrome to set in...they are testing us with all the planted stories about "success" in Iraq.

Maybe dubya can convince Sarkorsky to send a few troops?
Just don't put them in the front line-you'd get trampled by the retreat....

Here's hoping the Repubs get trounced in November 2008. False Christians and Chickenhawks should not be running our country.

Well it looks like Bush's dream of leading the world to glorious victory against the forces of evil has come to an end, but at least it led the deaths of a million people, left Iraq in complete shambles, created a vacuum for extremists to fill, destabilized the Middle East, reinvigorated al Qaeda and other violent extremist groups, bankrupted our nation and forever diminished our ability to be a force for good in the world.

To speakingtruth2power: Thanx for responding...I was beginning to give up.

However, I know Hunt's connection to Bush...so what we're saying is: it REALLY is just that simple...Hunt is friend/financial backer of Bush, so Exec.Order doesn't apply???

Sucks!!!!!!!!!!

La Feminazi,

What are the rules in France on their getting rid of Sarkozy?
I of course mean legally. Can they Impeach?

Is there a time frame they have to endure or is it more like the
English vote of no confidence? Just asking!

Be a Patriot and Add to The Coalition of the Willing

According to denverpost.com as of 22 Feb 07 Slovenia had 4 instructors training Iraqi security forces and Netherlands had 15 soldiers.

Here’s your chance to add to the “Coalition of the Willing”. To the best of my knowledge the rule book does not state a country must be land based. Pick a latitude and longitude over water that no country claims; somewhere on the high seas. Get a bunch of your buddies together and select a name for your country. Waterland comes to mind, but if you can’t think of a name just use an ex girlfriend’s name like Jennifer. Draw up a constitution but don’t spend a lot of time on it. As has recently been demonstrated by our federal government thinking things through would just add to confusion and failure. No, it’s best just to surge full steam ahead. A simple statement like “In search of all Jennifers everywhere” will do.

So now you have a country with a name, location, constitution, and a nomadic population traveling abroad. Your next step is to define a mission. Some contractors in Iraq make big bucks serving food. To boost moral I prefer the mission to be “Training all Jennifers in Iraq girl’s volleyball.”

Next, approach the bush administration with a full color brochure and a contract with a bunch of math on it. Ask for a plus cost no-bid contract. The administration is very good at giving those out with congress’ approval.

I almost forgot, your country will need an off-shore banking account with favorable tax codes and it will need to be located on land. If you don’t know of one just ask your nearest multi-millionaire CEO or CFO. I’m sure he knows of a few.

If enough people did this we could pump up the coalition of the willing to maybe 100,000 or 200,000 countries instead of this paltry 23 countries we have now.

A Texan farmer goes to Australia for a vacation. There he meets an Aussie farmer and gets talking. The Aussie shows off his big wheat field and the Texan says, "Oh! We have wheat fields that are at least twice as large".

Then they walk around the ranch a little, and the Aussie shows off his herd of cattle. The Texan immediately says, " We have longhorns that are at least twice as large as your cows".

The conversation has, meanwhile, almost died when the Texan sees a herd of kangaroos hopping through the field. He asked, "And what are those"?

The Aussie replies with an incredulous look, "Don't you have any grasshoppers in Texas"?

Nobody know why we got there or why we are still there. The President cannot articulate what Iraq has to do with 911 or what threat the present Iraqi situation would mean to this country vs the way it was prior to his decision to invade.

America is a Rudy versus Hillary kind of country. You can substitute any of the other candidates on the Rep or Dem side with the exception of Kucinich or Ron Paul and it would still apply. What does that mean. It means an America that does not see President Bush as a mass murderer, Nazi, fascist or war criminal. Just as they all see the earth is round. Only the flat earthers see Bush as the above. Americans disagree on policy and politics but know how to distinguish reality from fiction. They had fathers and grandfathers that fought and gave their lives fighting real fasicsm and mass murderers. The WWII generation that loved America despite her flaws.
