In a heated exchange this morning on Fox News Sunday, former Sen. Fred Thompson took host Chris Wallace to task for what he claims is a "constant mantra" of attacks on Thompson from Fox News.

Thompson reacted to two clips from Fox News contributors Charles Krauthammer and Fred Barnes sharply criticizing Thompson's candidacy.

"I don't know if Fox has been going after you," Wallace said, defending his network's coverage.

But Thompson insisted -- "From day one, they said I got in too late --" only to have Wallace interrupt. "Well, there are a lot of people besides Fox who said that."

Watch the full exchange below, and tell HuffPost your thoughts: is Fox News biased against Thompson? And is this a smart move on Thompson's part?

After the show, Wallace tried to make-up with Thompson by lending him his hair.

Fortunately, he had an extra in his briefcase.

Still wondering why nobody bothered to expose the hypocrisy of Thompson driving to a campaign rally in a truck, only to transfer back to a car when he was out of the media glare.

Eagerly looking forward to the fallout from Judith Regan, and how Faux News will still be able to be the Rudy Unlimited Network. It's so much harder to do when it gets exposed to daylight.

For Christmas, Fred Thompson will be buying all the Fox News 'journalists' toys made in China.

I think it would be perfect if ALL the candidates started ganging up on ALL the Mainstream Media Puppets.

talk about a turn of the tables.
the media refuse to do their job so let's just start calling 'em what they are.

This is just another example of the reporters and the media becoming the story. Real issues are lost or overshadowed by celebrity media hosts.

Now I know why Republicans hate Bill Clinton.

The tail THEY like to chase is their own.

Poor Fred. His allies have turned on him. Or should that be, his Ailes has turned on him.

Even though Fred Thompson is a joke, he should take comfort from the fact that Barnes and Krauthammer haven't been right about a single thing yet.

First thought after watching this-

I knew Republicans ate their young, but I didn't know the old and feeble were cannibalized too.

I don't agree with much of what he stands for, but Mr. Thompson is correct about Faux News. They tell the gullible and poorly educated what to think, which seems to be all that is left in the Republican party. Too bad Mr. Thompson objects to Murdoch's news channel only when it affects him. FNC's lack of objectivity, and obvious partisanship, does a disservice to the whole country. Why didn't Mr. Thompson say that? Then he might actually be relevant.

Fred Barnes is a moron. A complete and utter moron. For Wallace to use Barnes and that other creep as conservatives to quote, is dishonest. They are in fact lackeys for Fox news which has the agenda of getting Giuliani elected.

First Wallace is spanked by Bill Clinton, now Fred Thompson's takes him to the woodshed.

Even Republicans are disgusted by Fox News brand of phony bias journalism.

Fox News- a visual op-ed page for nasty, racist people.

Wallace did what he was paid to do , sit, roll over, eat crap and make Thompson look tough. I think the whole thing was a setup. Fox does not allow their talking mouths to speak what they think, only what they are paid to think, How else can you explain the stupidity that they spew?
