DailyKos:

This Wednesday at 8PM Eastern, the Republican Presidential candidates will be holding their own YouTube debate. Similar to the Democratic version in South Carolina in July, the candidates will be asked questions via YouTube videos. YouTube accepted thousands of videos and those submissions will be winnowed down to a handful that are presented as questions for the GOP. Senator Dodd jumped on the opportunity to ask the Republican field a question about the issue that matters most to him: protecting our Constitution.

Great Question ~ let's see if CNN is willing to ask it? It may not have enough entertainment value.

Also LOVE his daughter's hushing him up ~ that's a keeper!

Right now with the state this country is in, Dodd's question could be the most relevant of all. This nation's existence is based on the Constitution and the Rule of Law. Without that we have no identity as a democratic republic. That the Constitution has taken a beating these last few years is glaringly apparent.

Beginning with Congress, giving the President free rein (until recently) to do what he has requested, without any oversight. Their job to "check" the executive branch has been absent. Had they fulfilled their obligation and oath to uphold the tenets of the Constitution many of the difficulties this nation finds itself in would not have occurred.

The President's total disregard for human rights (rendition, torture, no habeas corpus) degenerates the spirit of the Constitution regardless if those individuals were American citizens or not.

The more I of Dodd the more I like. What a great question. Indeed, it's sad that anyone actually has to ask such a question but I'd challenge anyone to question its relevance.

The election is a year away and I am already so tired of all this political wrangling. I stopped watching any of the so called debates a long time ago. I'm at the point of voting for "none of the above>". And they wonder why such a small portion of eligible voters actually vote! Why bother when what the "people" want done seems to be the very LAST thing these politicians are going to do??

And what exactly do you do at capitol hill?

Leave YouTube questions to those of us who can never get a voice at the Capitol.

I hope CNN is fair and does not pick his question regardless of all the fanfare around it.

GO CHRIS!! It appears that while we have been exporting democracy, we have indeed diminished our home grown supply! Thanks Chris!

Stay tuned for lies, changes of subject, indifference and Rudy answering every question with, I'm the 9-11 mayor you know! Then we will have Mitt telling everyone what a good business man he is, McCain telling us all how he's the only one qualified to govern because he's been around since the civil war, or Thompson looking into the Camera and giving one of his RedNeck looks and forgetting his lines again. They all suck big time, remember you cannot get an answer about the economy, Iraq, Iran, Outsourcing, FEMA, Border security, education or healthcare, but they will all tell you how tuff they are and how afraid we all must be and they are the only ones that can protect us.
Makes one want to puke.

Excellent question.

Will the GOP candidates laugh at Chris Dodd submitting the question or answer it?
